What’s really confusing to me is that AJ is actually on pace to mirror his first 2 seasons in PHI statistically… he’s just missed a few games so total production is down a bit. Obviously with the addition of Saquon, his targets would go down a hair, but not suprisngly, his efficiency on those targets are way up. He’s actually balling and on a 1,511 yard pace if you take out the 1/3 Jacksonville game where he got hurt. Lol

So obvious that BG’s original comment was about how AJ and Hurts relationship is different now that they’re on the same team. They are more than “just” friends now, they’re coworkers. They are still friends, they will always be friends, Hurts is literally AJ’s daughter’s godfather. Of course the media will run away with this, do not be surprised if it has 0 effect on anything moving forward. Also, AJs comment that started this whole thing was not even directed at Hurts! The entire passing game plan has been questionable for a couple weeks now and that has nothing to do with Hurts.

But with Hurts underperforming on pass plays (check downs and abandoning the pocket way too early) it makes sense for him to criticize him.

Whenever a WR says the passing game has problems the media turns that into "WR complaining about targets". That's not fair. The passing game has objectively been bad. And I personally don't think AJ would even be upset if Smith was going off and he wasn't. The PROBLEM is the passing game has thrown for under 250 yards for like 9 weeks now. AJ is right. And IMO Jalen has been the problem.
@gasoline3597Күн бұрын
I think that's the problem people are missing, it's not the fact that they are a run heavy team. The Lions and Ravens are also run heavy, but they also have pretty good passing numbers as well. They do not need to throw the ball more as I hear people suggest, I like their run/pass balance, Hurts needs to not hold on to the ball for so long. AJ was open on a lot of his slant routes in the panthers game and Hurts just did not throw it to him, he ended up holding on to the ball.

We never would have known that there was personal beef between AJ and Jalen. Now that we know that it's easy to understand why there's no chemistry Between Hurts and brown. Of course the actual problem is that the exact thing that is allowing Saquon to have an MVP campaign, namely, every QB is seeing cover 2, to avoid big chunk plays, is why Brown's targets are down. Because if you let Jalen sling it like he was say, Stafford, he will throw the ball to the defense.

Philly doesn't have enough TOP to get AJ more targets. Jalen needs to be better, sure, but the Eagles had I believe 9 possessions this week. That's nuts. And when you consider they don't do 6-10 play drives - they either go 3 and out or go down the field and score most of the time - there aren't a lot of 30-40 yard drives to pad stats like most other teams have.

Let Jalen go wild with risky throws and picks and see what works.
@CarlosTorres-lz9hl21 сағат бұрын
I think this is way overblown. The team will be fine. AJ just cares about having a balanced attack and having an aerial threat. Especially with AJ and Devonta on the team we should be doing way more than 100 yds a game passing. This will bite us in the playoffs if we get off to slow starts or fall behind especially in the second half. Jalen is missing wide-open reads and taking horrible sacks. AJ was asked a question and he answered. I believe we are gonna be more dynamic against the steelers this week. Go birds.

@@bigchungus1848 He has in the past, and I don’t really have a good reason to think he won’t again. I don’t think he’s as good a player as a Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, top five guys, but he’s a solidly top 10 QB with the unique skills and intangibles needed to be a franchise QB. I don’t think he’ll ever be in GOAT conversations, but I don’t really think he has to be. He’s a good player.

The glee that Brou had on his face is what’s wrong with sports media. Making mountains out of mole hills.

What was their record last year when they fell of the cliff?

AJ- Brown should have shut his mouth when talking to the media or just lied & acted like everything was fine.

AJ brown is behaving the same way Flowers would if the Ravens were 11-2 and King Henry was running everyone. You gotta stick to your identity.

If Brou'd say that the Mountain needs improvement, which he actually does all the time just like others, you should actually listen to him, Nick. The Mountain's trash. Bias is littered throughout it and you turn into a QB wins guy when it favors you, then switch when it doesn't.
