This was the first feature I worked on back in 1984. I'll admit, Don never had the big budget that some indie films get, but they were fun to work on!

If you watch the Rifftrax version, stay for the credits. Although they border on inane. There is a song about a guy, who's actual name, is Bunky Hart and a few names you need to slow down the credits to pick up on. The riff is free on KZbin so go there and read my appropriate for the movie but inappropriate for anywhere else. I think it's a fun riff, that raises toe movies overall score by trimming off the boring parts. Cheers from Montreal Quebec Canada

Totally agree. I understand that Brandon thought the movie dragged but Rifftrax fixes that, by getting really creative! Hilights include, forcing Kevin to run for Mayor, during the Riff, many Stupid singalongs and so much tearing apart of the Man with the crappy Iron Man cosplay shirt that it becomes a drinking game irl Take care .

Don Dohler produced a SFX book co-produced by Starlog Magazine in the late 70's! It was my first special makeup effects book I ever read--I loved it (hell, I still might have it somewhere). It also included the SFX OF one of his films, probably the first Star Trek fan film ever made called Paragon's Paragon (If I remember correctly) and one other SF film by stop motion animator David Allen (I think).

The movie Galaxy Invader was riff fodder by Rifftrax a while back, the movie Pod People was recycled by Film Ventures International and added the footage from Galaxy Invader so they could "copyright" it for their own. Kind of like what they did with Stranded with space (using footage from Prisoners from a Lost Universe), Master Ninja (unknown source), and the rest from stock footage.
