Zoom lens is sort of cheating though.
@fabiohamann6 жыл бұрын
Brandon Li , I own a D800 and a nice set of lenses, but wondering to do the challenge with my compact LUMIX LX100 with 24-70mm equivalent lenses locked at the 35mm focal length. That’s not cheating, right? 😜
@wijandreas33096 жыл бұрын
Is it stiil legal to participate? because i got no fix lens. :)
@chacana-rando6 жыл бұрын
I guess what he is saying is that you just pick one focal length on your zoom like 50mm and then don't move it. Like Fabio Hamann said above.

Brandon your pacing is unmatched!!! I loved this challenge but what I love even more is the two different stories and perspectives from each film maker from the same day and time. That’s why I love art in general ! Great job guys.

Very cool indeed and great films. One question..... how long do you spend putting the film together? Like from the point u import the footage until you hit export? ..... oops I just checked other comment, only one hour!?!? Wowwwwwww,
@TheMilesWeShare6 жыл бұрын
Do you all shoot on Cine4 or s-log2? I'm with Brandon on the Cine4 with color and black tweaks. I was convinced I could do more color work in post with s-log 2 until I tried Cine4 for a while. Plus, seeing that small amount more color really helps with composition and and locking onto the emotion of the shot more readily. Love the idea of intentionally balancing at 4000K btw. Definitely added to the moodiness.

Hi Brandon, hope you can help me with this. I would like to travel to the north of Chile, to an a particular event, a cultural and religious ritual to Virgen de Guadalupe, people walk around 46 miles from Calama to Ayquina town, ceremonies and religious dance are some of the rituals for a week. I have a Mavic Pro and a Sony A7RIII with 24-240 and 14mm rokinon, what do you suggest to create a film with this?.... Thanks.

Great challenge. I would cheat and use the 16-35 f4. But Would the 2.8 GM be something you’d use over the f4 OSS version to get that stop of light?
@BrandonLiUnscripted6 жыл бұрын
No the 2.8 is too big. Doesn't work with my gimbal and I don't need the stop

Can you tell me what the tweaks are in your Cine4 picture profile Brandon?
Sir, would you try to make a travel video on canon entry level camera with kit lens without a gimbal.?

Of course. What matters most is finding something interesting to film, and having fun with the project. There's no rules.

I never thought of setting white balance to produce a certain mood. I always used auto for my a6500 and adjust in post. I guess it really pays to "shoot to edit"
@BrandonLiUnscripted6 жыл бұрын
setting white balance = grading raw. color correction in post = grading jpeg
