I hate when KZbinrs only talk about productivity that revolves around video content. THANK YOU for talking about productivity that has normal, family friendly ways to stay organized. I’m sure there is a lot more in this category.

Btw, thank you for showing us a “normal” use of this system. A lot of people give corporate or freelance examples of a productivity setup, and yours is about doing things like dethatching a yard or putting wipers on a car.

So real and so useful. I spent a year wasting my time trying all of the trendy productivity apps and just wasted time. Ended up going back to apples stock apps and, although it doesn’t have all the extra fancy bells and whistles, I eventually found that I never needed them in the first place

@@Progresspresso Not yet. I am using Apple Notes for collecting recipes and everything connected to my photography work. I use Evernote for everything else. I have about 14,000 notes in Evernote and I just haven't gotten around to completing the migration. Another problem is that Evernote has been on a rapid feature update schedule and I want to see where they go with the app.

Ohhh I know right! I basically have avoided using Reminders for many years now up until about 12 months ago simply because it didn’t integrate with my Calendar WHICH I was often using to add reminders to. I wanted to embrace Reminders a bit but now am glad it’ll be viewable within Calendar and have slowly tried to use Calendar more for events rather than adding calendar events for what should be simple reminders 🙃☺️

Long time user of Things3 and Bear. I decided to for first party apps and see how it works out. So far I like it for a lot of the things you highlight. One thing I do different than you, is that I use widget “stacks” to be able to swipe between Reminders lists. I have a ”today” list where I am tagged (smart list), and then a “today” list excluding me (mostly family or shared stuff). With stacks, you can use the same screen real estate which is nice! I’m pairing Apple Notes with the Bullet Journal style of daily logging which has worked out great so far!

Great video, do more of these - my ADHD is impressed. But I I have some questions, maybe you have answers or take this as a reason to make more videos. - Creating a quick note while visiting a website is a nice trick. You mentioned that you could do that from the email app, and I don’t think that’s possible, or I’m too blind to find that feature. - as of today, there is absolutely no connection between the Reminders, Notes and calendar app. So I can set up a reminder for 10 AM tomorrow in the morning, and it does not show up in the calendar. What’s even worse is that I can add this reminder for this point of time even if I have an appointment tomorrow at 10 AM. I’ve seen some workarounds, but none of them is useful. How do you handle it? - The templates for reminders seem to be a good idea, but how do you handle it in practical terms? Shopping lists? Repetitive exercise for a music instrument? The world needs more examples. - The world also wants more examples of how to use the different features for organizing reminders us. For example, you could have a list for job tasks, another one for a hobby and one for family activities. Some of the entries might be an entry for a shopping list. How do you use and mix lists, sections, tags, and so forth?

Great video! I would say though that some of the features you detail don’t work in the same manner as they do on older devices like my iPhone 12, gen 6 iPad, or M1 Mac mini. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to attach a link to a Quick Note. It works completely different than the method you used in the video. I do greatly appreciate the use of these integrated apps though. I already use them but you explained it exactly as I wanted them to be able to work and didn’t know how. I’ve already shared the video with friends that I think can really benefit. Many thanks! 🙏🏼 I forgot to mention I have ADHD and I’m not overwhelmed with the process as I have been with productivity apps I’ve tried. 👍🏼

2:47. It seems from other comments that I should refrain from commenting at this time. The point I was going to make was about KZbinrs making productivity videos for KZbinrs. I will amend this comment later and keep watching….. 4:23 good tip about using the kanban view as a todo by day for a vacation! 🙌. I’m planning my summers vacation that for some reason contains 2 confused older ladies as travel companions apart from my family, and I use the maps feature Guides to collect stuff to do, but this is really a cool way of planning it by day… 6:39 YES! Continuity copy/paste continue on other device, move calls and video calls between devices, including Apple TV is totally amazing as is universal control. I don’t have a modern desktop mac anymore so I have a question: I suppose it does but can you confirm that universal control works between a Mac Studio and an iPad Pro? 7:15 I use 1Password for saved passwords instead of a locked note simply because it offers superior integration but so does iCloud Keychain. So why not use it for this? End Overall good video! Keep it up and you have earned a sub 👍🏼

@@BrandonMeves Do you use iCloud with a custom domain? Also, how do you deal with the frustration of the mail and calendar? What I particularly mean is that iCloud Meeting invites go out and when people accept them, they do not indicate to you the sender that I have accepted or declined without jumping through some major hoops. Apple is the only system that does not work well with others, thus is why I could never go all in.

I guess it’s highly dependent on your workflows and needs! A watch gives me speedy notifications, AirPod pros let me bounce between work calls and personal music listening with ease. A Mac makes editing my videos much faster than on an iPad. It all depends!

This was a great informative video! However, I’ve found that my Mac desktop lags pretty much all the time. I’ve updated it and there is plenty of memory available. It’s so slow that I no longer use it.

I attempted to create the today inbox and I’m not able to pull the task from today unless I placed it in the inbox with a today’s date on it. Any suggestions?

This is very good. Would you mine creating a video where you’ve tested using Google Drive and its services for a similar setup to this? It’s cross platform and is more friendly to people who may need to collaborate.

How do you work with hard deadlines in reminders? In Things 3 there is a Start Date and a Hard Deadline. I really want to start using reminders again but hard deadlines are a must for me.

How do you create the Smart list today/inbox? What filters have you used?
@BrandonMeves
@BrandonMeves 8 ай бұрын
Create a new list, make it a smart list, and under filters go to "Lists" and then "include". There you can add multiple lists together so they all funnel to your new smart list. Obviously if you want a new regular list called "inbox" like me, make that first so you can include it in your new smart list. hope that helps!

Bro, new to your channel and subscribed . Thanks for sharing productivity tips for apple ecosystem. In future, if possible kindly make a video , sharing tips and tricks for your apple watch ultra2 , how you use that as your productivity tool in apple ecosystem. I use things3, but cannot able to enter tasks properly using siri with apple watch ultra2 . Issue is instead of tasks going to things3 inbox, it goes to apple reminders. Feels so confused, dont find any tutorial in youtube.
