I felt that. When she said " No shade to the brothers, but sometimes they mess up your dreams" You could hear the emotion in her voice when she said that. I can relate to the depression and never being able to find real lasting love. I'm glad she is loving on herself now.

I disagree on this point or at least agree to a certain extent that yes, the WRONG man can and will mess up one’s dream but if patience, prayer & other factors are applied, the RIGHT man can come along and actually help elevate that dream. I think it’s unfair to write off all men and say that they’re a hinderance or block to our dreams when there’s actually some men out there that will not only champion your dream but could even play a crucial part in helping you get to and accomplish your dreams

I pray Brandy realizes how much God loves her...and how much any man's or anyone else's ACCEPTANCE is not NEEDED. God loves you, Brandy, even when you don't love yourself...even when you can't look yourself in the mirror. You are already so blessed. May you find Rest in Jesus as you encounter God's love in Jesus' name. Amen. Augustine wrote "Thou hast made us for Thyself, O Lord, and our heart is Restless until it Finds its Rest in Thee." Only God gives us Rest...Peace..Beauty...Love.Jesus, Please reveal yourself to Brandy...And Save her. Deliver her from Insecurity, Self-Will, Low Self-Acceptance, Restlessness, Vanity, Lust and Fornication, Idolatry, Poor Discernment, Predators governed by Satan, Guilt, Shame, Unloving Family Members, From the evil one...by the Power of the Blood of Jesus I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. I have always admired Brandy. As a child growing up I used to watch Moesha and was a Fan of her music as well...still enjoy her hits...even as a Christ follower now...may her inside...her SPIRIT...heart, mind, soul that form her character that is...become SURRENDERED to Jesus' TRUTH and cause her to become even more beautiful than her physical beauty...A woman who REVERENCES or Fears The Living God is Most Beautiful and Treasured in God's Sight. I love you, Brandy, in Jesus Christ and pray these things for you in Jesus' name. Amen.

@@theisisreincarnate that's part of it. When I was a teenager I had crushes on grown men. Our culture glamorizes these things and young girls see images in media showing that older guys are less childish than guys their age so they start to really believe it (come to find as we get older, they're still childish in their 20s, 30s, 40s and it was only our childishness that made us think older men were mature). Though heres the kicker, some grown men ARE mature enough to understand this. They know a schoolgirl crush is just that and they will deny a young girls advances because A: they're not pedophiles and they're not attracted to children B: they're not assholes who see an opportunity to groom and abuse a child as a good thing. Yes this also does apply in the older woman younger guy thing. And yes it also applies to giant age gaps in adulthood (eg 20yr olds dating 40 yr olds). Basically point blank period: if someone is a good person and levelheaded, they will not enter a relationship with fucked up power dynamics, whether they be age or anything else.

And I will admit theres a double standard when a guy in his 20s is having sex with a 15 year old girl it’s sick but if a 33 year old woman is having sex with a 17 year old boy she’s desperate it’s just not acceptable for a man to mess with underage girls
