It's based on a true story. But what the trailer doesn't show you is that the so-called teacher eventually molests the boy and the boy kills him in self-defense, but no one believes him, he is tried as an adult, and is sent to death row. They are making this movie look to be some kind of inspiration porn but if you google the true story you get something that is not inspirational.

Jared Harris is an excellent actor, surprised to see him working with Angel Studios. they are a far right propaganda outlet. sound of freedom was laughable by film student standards and was based on many lies told by ex mormon and sex pest, Tim Ballard. That said, i dont have high hopes for this movie. looks a downer, and i can only presume comes with heavy embellishment

@@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66 Ditto, man, ditto. We KNOW the ulterior motive's there, unfortunately, and we know they're willing to lie to drop that hammer in a self-satisfactory way... We just don't see it yet in the trailer. They're moving themselves onto another level of marketing guile and savvy, with their trailers, now. But it takes a LOT more than that to fool people who already see the truth of who they are. (But: they know they only need to successfully fool enough innocently-ignorant people to make their money and grow their impact.)
