I want to become a freelance graphic designer but can't choose between logo design OR web design. My dream goal eventually would be to make 1500-2000$ a month. Is it easier to earn it as a web designer or logo designer? What's more in demand? What do you suggest?

Have you ever designed a book cover? I would love a video diving into current design trends, where these trends come from, what the future might bring. And also you redesigning covers, maybe designing covers for your favourite books or for fictional works. 🎉🎉🎉

Really appreciate you showing this in Affinity. Recently went all the way in on Affinity and skill first. Software is a tool. Great to see real pros using Affinity. Thank you.

I didn't buy it this time on sale for Black Friday, I was concerned about layers. I imported a file made in Ai and tried PDF which was 120 layers of small icons and all the layer names went back to standard names not what it was named in the PDF or the Ai file.

I like this format, it is much more slower, but it is not bad. A slower tempo of the video helps to stick on what you are talking about and also thinking of your own ideas and thoughts.

I'm using Affinity suite for all of my work now, and just like you, using Photoshop for mockups. Some PSD mockups work in Affinity Photo, some don't. I enjoyed this type of video, very slow and relaxing. I like the idea that design needs to have a purpose other than just being pretty. Thanks for the video.

When you added that green blob on 4:53, was there a reason behind it? Anytime I would add some random design like that, I would be told that it's just random and unnecessary.

visual interest would be my best reasoning :)

Think it's a bit of both i guess design is more about share information were art is a bit more subjective

Disagree! Art can serve a purpose. At it's core Art/Design is communicating, through expression, your unique truth of what it means to be human. As a designer you are using your style (your unique view/type design in your case) and knowledge to help someone else to communicate with the outside world (to tell the unique truth of the company that hired you).
@willpatersondesign25 күн бұрын
art doesn't have to communicate for it to be art :)

Graphic Design isn't art...it also isn't business. It's both, kind of like a perfect fusion or middle ground between these two concepts. If it's not "artistic enough" it's boring and forgettable. If it doesn't properly serve its purpose, then it's ineffective and self-indulgent.

I really like the type of video but the design itself is not it, personally.
