The pizza scene (which was knocked out in one take, by the way) is iconic and sparked 2 controversies. One was that the fans immediately noticed the pizza wasn't sliced and called out the showrunners on the unacceptable error. What self-respecting pizza place doesn't slice their pizzas? Two, people started throwing pizzas at the Breaking Bad house in real life. It was a daily thing, and the owners were not thrilled. They still aren't thrilled.

If I'm Hank, I never say "It's none of my business" to someone freeloading under my roof, who is keeping a good (so far as he knows) man's children from him. And yes, I would reprimand Jr for calling his mom a bitch, no matter what she says, because in my house, you follow my fucking rules. The problem a lot of people have with Skyler is how often she takes advantage coming and going. She takes advantage of the traditional woman's prerogative to run her household and live off her husband's earnings, but also of the modern view that they are supposed to be equal partners and a man does not have the right to command his female dependents. She takes advantage of blind family loyalties to impose on the Shraeders, but also of personal liberties to keep quiet about her own business. The same ties that make it acceptable for her to stay with Hank & Marie no questions asked, entitled them to some answers about the family. Skyler leaving Walt is absolutely justified because he is breaking the law and bringing danger on her family, but for the exact same reason EVERY thing else she is doing is wrong or stupid. How can Jr be safe from the danger his father poses, if he does not know about it? Hank's job is to enforce the law. He has already been shot at once, and experienced PTSD as a result, from his ignorance of Walt's situation. Set aside that he is a DEA agent, who risks his life enforcing drug laws, he is giving her and her children shelter from a dangerous drug manufacturer, no questions asked (or, apparently, permitted). Letting him do that in ignorance is a moral wrong, and arguably criminal. It is a thing that drug gangs come after the families, and a big part of the reason why separating herself from Walt is sensible, not just moralistic. But then she also owes it to Hank & Marie to let them know about the danger she is putting them in. Walt at least has the explanation of self-interest in keeping these things from Hank, Skyler has no excuse but her pride and ego. Skyler & Walt have in common that they get off on their secret self-images as the benevolent caretakers of their family. They think they are smarter than, or get off on believing they are in some way superior to, those around them, which drives a lot of their behavior on the show. If she tells Hank about Walt, everything is now out of her control. It would be the right thing to do, and the best thing for her whole family, hell, it would be the best thing for Walt, as it would lead to him being locked in jail and protected from his own dangerous inclinations. But it would reduce her to helpless victim, at the mercy of the DEA, and the recipient of her sister's charity. Much of what Saul says about the dangers to her of reporting Walt to the authorities, can be mitigated by Hank, a ranking DEA agent, who could use his influence and professional connections to alleviate a lot of the penalties she might face. He could work out an immunity deal for her, arrange for protection, he could see that efforts are made to bring Walt in peacefully, even to get Walt some sort of deal. But it would make Marie the winning sister. All of this good fortune, protection, mercy, safety, what have you, would come to Skyler & her kids, through the beneficence of her "bitch sister". And Skyler cannot abide that any more than Walt can. Skyler, from the first episode, has been all about control over her family. She can no more accept being the dependent hanger-on, with someone else calling the shots than Walt can take charity, accept a sinecure from Elliot & Gretchen, feel satisfied by Hank's promise to take care of his family if anything happens to him.

@jrepka0110 ай бұрын
They planned on multiple takes of him throwing the pizza up there and purchased 10 (unsliced) pies from the local vendor, but serendipitously he made the perfect toss on take #1. The close up shots were of a real pizza. The set designers did a fantastic job of "aging" the pizza for subsequent shots, showing the cheese layer gradually sliding down along the sauce boundary layer. Of course this became a huge controversy later on, especially after the show ended. The folks that owned the house started having a problem with Breaking Bad tourists hanging out on their lawn for photos, knocking on the door and asking to come inside, or asking them to move their cars from the driveway or stealing rocks from their front yard. But then came the idiots who began tossing pizzas. Vince Gilligan (show creator and runner) called out the overzealous fans and vandals repeatedly, asking people to show some respect to the homeowners. ultimately they were forced to install a 6-foot iron fence around the property which reduced the vandalism somewhat but not completely. It's still a problem to this day. The whole sub-plot of Jesse getting kicked out of his house and later scamming his parents to get the place back was also an affect of real-world economics as well. The original house was put up for sale by the owners when season 2 began filming, so Jesse getting evicted had to be written into season 2 since they no longer could film there. Once the place was sold, the studio was able to make a deal with the new owners to use the place from season 3 on, so Jesse moves back in this episode.

I love the way this is written particularly. Theres no character that is clean in this series or full of shit. In fact, the reason why we love Saul so much is because his character is aware of how full of shit he is, so it makes him funny. But Skyler however: Divorces her husband for not being honest with her, and is disgusted with him when he admits to being a criminal. The initial admittance of this to her actually strengthens her resolve to punish walt for his choices. However, Ted? Well, hes doing similar things on the business front. However, because she finds Ted to be very attractive, she jumps through loopholes to keep working for him, and even plots with him on how to keep getting away with it. Its writing that showcases these double standards so well, that made Skyler one of the most hated characters in tv history.

I worked in Santa Fe(I'm from Tucson) and drove to Albuquerque so I could see this house and a Slipknot concert in the same weekend. It was awesome. Looks exactly like it does here only a fence is there now. This is the only video ever that Maple showed her age and immaturity

Saul says to Walt "you've been out of circulation for a while, you would be surprised at what's out there". Yeah, almost all women out there today are either crazy or looking for money. I even had one girl ask me to give her some money, then after spending it right away, she asked if i had any more. I said no, that's all I had on me, and she just pointed at the ATM.

Right, because people trying to scam other people out of money is a phenomenon that’s never existed before the modern age.

Maybe your problem is trying to date women in Las Vegas or Reno.

Actually, it's not just Las Vegas, it's everywhere.
