I was rooting for jesse to leave ABQ and walter and be free from all this crap. He's been through so much pain and leaving New Mexico, and starting with a clean slate was probably the best decision he could take. But this show just likes to diminish any hope i have for anything good to happen. I understood Jesse's feelings, and he had every right to be mad at walt, but at the same time it was stupid of him to burn his house. He knows whhat Walter's capable of. He knows he's killed many people and is aware of how he's manipulated him multiple times. But when he finds out Walter poisoned Brock the same Brock who is alive, he wants revenge. I understand he was betrayed but it's frustrating because jesse had an actual out, he could've been free from all of it. Besides it's not like he killed a kid without hesitation unlike a certain someone. Yes walt deserves everything that's coming to him but not at the cost of Jesse's life. He's lucky he didn't immediately kill Jesse because if it was someone else then yeah , they would be killed.
@maelstrom23133 ай бұрын
That's true, but getting revenge on Walt is perfectly in character with Jesse since it's been established that he's unpredictable and doesn't always act in his own best interest, especially when children are involved. Once he found out what Walt did to Brock there was no way he could have just left town and forgotten about it. In hindsight he would have surely regretted this decision after everything that happened next.

There wasn't nearly as much mustache-twirling in this show until they needed to wrap things up. Then not only was the writing full of mustache-twirling from especially Hank, Jesse, and Marie, so was the directing. It's silly. Given the dangerous waters they were all swimming in, any and all could have burned in the end, as need be, without all the psycho-fury. The show lost its sense of character and sense of theme. A show about crime and subterfuge and personal and social predicaments and their affects on character and family turned into B grade mustache twirling. No stock psycho-fury was needed to destroy those families. A few tweaks of chemistry, that is, fatal good plot, would have achieved far more thematically than all the false melodrama and affectation. This also would have kept the deceitful and criminal characters intact, and the scenes more revelatory, until their final destruction in the end.

The Swedish Bikini Team was a fictional group created for a series of humorous beer commercials for Old Milwaukee in the early 1990s. The ads featured American actresses portraying stereotypical Scandinavian women, who would appear to enhance the fun for groups of men enjoying beer and outdoor activities. The premise often involved a group of men declaring, "It doesn’t get any better than this," only for the Swedish Bikini Team to arrive, making the situation "better" with their presence. You might expect to see the Swedish Bikini Team in Florida due to the state's reputation for warm weather, beaches, and a vibrant party culture, which aligns with the themes of the commercials. Florida's appeal as a vacation destination makes it a fitting backdrop for the kind of escapism and fun that the Swedish Bikini Team represented in those ads. Additionally, the humorous and exaggerated nature of the campaign fits well with Florida's lively atmosphere, making it a logical place for such a fictional team to be imagined or referenced.

Now we're cooking with gas (arch.) Every episode from here on out is a roller-coaster. The whole last season (episodes 9-16). But, this episode is the point of no return. The excrement has proverbially hit the spinning, oscillating air disbursement mechanism. Everyone gets a bite. I really like that scene out in the desert. Jesse finally calls Walter out. He is afraid, and not the first time that Walt will kill him. And ya'll are right, he wouldn't kill Jesse, at this point. Or he'd already be dead. The audience knows it, Walt knows it...but Jesse doesn't. And, the moment that Walt embraces Jesse, I think he IS concerned about getting Jesse out of his hair. I think he also is concerned for Jesse. When he's holding him, and you see Walt's eyes, you kinda want to hear him say something like, "I'm sorry I got you onto this." Or something like that. But he doesn't. There is just Cranston's amazing acting. And you are left wondering. They have both saved each other's lives. They have both stood by the other in dangerous situations multiple times. So ya Walt cares about Jesse. He is under the "umbrella" of Walt's perceived family. He''ll go to bat for anyone he see's as family. I love that line, "Stop working me." Because this is what Walt is a master at. Two things really. And I think it's not just manipulation. He is a silver tongued devil. He conjures this hyper confident alter ego and he blows people out of the water. Like those drug dealers who just wanted the methylamine. We as the audience have the luxury of knowing more then the characters he's attempting to convince (and it works most of the time). Secondly, Walt's ability to plan. He knows the positives and negatives for himself, and the good and bad of his opponents. He uses everything within his purview to formulate his scenarios... All the known knowns. His drawbacks are his inability to consider things that are not within the realm of his own experience. e.g. selling drugs on a street level. Which is how Jesse got roped into this. Additionally, thinking outside the box. Walt would have never considered a train heist. Jesse gave him the idea of robbing without the knowledge of theft by the mark. Then he's all in... Speaking of Gray Matter, have you ever wondered why Walt is no longer in Gray Matter? He says he was bought out for five thousand dollars. But knowing Walt as we do, and his conflation of the facts and his own "truth" to his own benefit...It's possible this might not be the whole story. There also is allusion to a possible relationship between Walt and the woman in Gray Matter. I tend to believe that things didn't end as amicably as purported.

For instance, like how white an actors teeth are. As well as other things. Eyes that are roaming around back-and-forth quickly, which again is related to a lack of focus and concentration. It affects cognitive abilities, insofar as one’s ability to understand things, and to contribute, intelligent, relevant, and insightful findings of a particular subject. Especially while something is occurring. For example, in a reaction video when you’re seeing something for the first time. Your ability to deduce what’s happening and intelligently articulate, meaningful, relevant thoughts and ideas in regards to what you’re watching is extremely impaired. My guess is that Saul knew The USA National Bikini Team is a Florida-based bikini team, and maybe he thought they do competitions there with the Swiss bikini team, as well as other bikini teams.

@@xensonar9652 if she didn't want to join his crime she could have continued with the divorce, even cleared her name from his crime. Instead she wanted to launder his drug money, she chose not to file divorce even when Ted wanted to have an actual relationship with her. She had an out, just like Jesse had an out. These people are definitely collateral damage due to walt but they are no saints, they chose these circumstances, they chose walt despite him being a criminal.

When that DVD went on, Marie was totally vindicated in telling Hank to tell the DEA and get ahead of this. Argh now it's much more complicated. And I don't think Walt wants Jesse dead. He works him for sure but does kind of care about him, of course in his own selfish manipulative way. When the idea has been floated in this series to kill Jesse, by Saul or whoever, he rejects immediately.
@John_Locke_1084 ай бұрын
Because Jesse has use. That's it. He barely cares about his family.
@brownsey14 ай бұрын
@John_Locke_108 It's not just that, though. The writer's go to great lengths to stress the strange father/son thing between them. It's certainly manipulative on Walt's part for the majority, but even take that bar scene between Jane's Dad and Walt where they talk about fatherhood.
@broncoscountryl3tsrid34 ай бұрын
@@John_Locke_108 nah Walt cares about Jesse and his family. Why do you think he’s so destroyed when Hank is killed if he doesn’t care about his family? Walt’s a selfish asshole but he still clearly loves his family and Jesse.
@brownsey14 ай бұрын
@broncoscountryl3tsrid3 It's a double-edged sword. Obviously, as with any family man, he loves his wife and kids and, from what we can see, cares about his extended family. However, he doesn't love them enough to not put them in imminent danger multiple times. Moreover, in pursuing this course, he effectively destroys his entire family because of his ego and selfishness. He pulled the wool over Hank's eyes for a year and didn't care enough about him to back out. Is it truly love if you opt to put the people you're supposed to care about, in danger, when all you had to do was swallow your pride and take Elliot and Gretchen's money?
