Very cool build! My husband and I built our own house, mortgage free, in our 20's. Almost everyone said we couldn't/ shouldn't do it! My boss at the time even told me "You're not allowed to have a house without a mortgage." Crabs in a bucket will try to pull escaping fellow crabs down every time! Ignore and press on!

Exactly. Most folks don't have the budget, background, or support to do this in the first place. He had parents that guided him throughout his life. Even if you gave a kid from Compton $2M, they might not be able to do this.

He put up a lot of his own money he saved and also took out loans. He's an engineer so he probably gets paid pretty good. I agree though, still tough for the average joe. He also invested heavily in tesla early on so that's some nice change too.

Just so you know, we typically recommend a liquid budget of at least 40k from our new members, as we have found that to be a good starting point to get involved in land hacking, depending on the area, whether or not you already own land, & whether you plan to do a lot of the work yourself or hire it out. Our top priority is to ensure the success of our students in their land hacking ventures & we believe that starts with a sufficient budget.

I literally just watched the video kid uploaded on his own channel the other day and I want to say it cost him like $573k but I can’t remember exactly but definitely of $500k all together to build and since he is an influencer a lot of brands gave him a lot of stuff for free

Construction loans are still 20% down and are usually interest only payments but its not very long, maybe a year.

Yeah its the reality requirements thats not mentioned, like cost of containers themselves, land itself cost amount ? Then there's the bank loan itself unless this build was payed out of pocket, cause im thinkin bank gonna think about chances of this getting damaged and or riped apart the moment a hurricane/tornado comes threw 😢

The videography and marketing is brilliant, as is the build. However couldn't the architect at least make it a looker - this is not a pleasant bulk to look at, like a container house by architect Patrick Bradley. Secondly, seeing virgin nature encroached upon for BnB stays is not a healthy trend is it?
