Breaking down is an option - but so is breaking through. We have to prepare ourselves for a long haul. We don't know when we're going to get through this, how we're going to get through it, or what's going to be expected of us. There's no place we can go. There's no country we can run to. There's no way we can hit the off button or get off the off ramp. We really are in something together. And to that extent we have to draw an extra level of comfort from that. We have been in the experience of life together, but we haven't been in the experience of crisis together.

When i was a new mother without a partner struggling with PTSD and poverty, I had to break time down into 5 minute chunks in order to get through the day. I would tell myself "just get through the next 5 minutes without falling apart, this will pass". That was 15 years ago and my daughter and I are doing great, we are completely calm and relaxed during this collective crisis

I agree with you. I have also had to go and break it down to 5 minutes at a time, which has taught me now to remember that i can take one day at a time, knowing that if needed I can go back to shorter periods. However, I believe that it was needful for me to learn that lesson first and though this current crisis is almost unbearable, it IS bearable and we can come through together.

I'm just going to throw this out there...I paint, and there is something about this I've learned from that task; just when I'm about to give up, and I mean throw it all in the trash kind of done, that's when the breakthrough occurs. It happens when Im angry, frustrated and full of self doubt. It happens three quarters through every painting. I hate it, I hate every one of them right before Im done. I've learned to look for this, I've learned this is actually a good sign. It means Im about to grow. Anyway, my advice is usually not valued much, but there it is. Take it or leave it. Be well ya'll.

Hi Suzanne, I am also a painter. I experience the same thing. I call it the time in the desert. I begin my painting, love, it, love it, now not so much. I begin to struggle with it. I lose perspective. I leave it until the next day. Then I take a photograph. I decide what I like and I paint over with white what I don’t like. I begin again and then I get an idea. I follow it and the next thing you know the piece takes a new direction and I love it. For me, it is the process I love. I live for it. I approach my life in a similar fashion. It is always an adventure. You think you know, you are going along, you don’t know, you take a step back and wait for inspiration in the moment. One simple idea you can take action on. That leads to the next and the next.

Susan all opinions and thoughts and experiences are valuable at some point all experiences and opinions come into play maybe not right away but they do. I want to just give food for thought I'm somebody who takes care of somebody who is sick at home for the last 20-plus years so you can imagine how hard the situation is on people who can't even get up and do anything who can't paint who can't drink water for themselves so I encourage you and others to create and create and keep creating even if you don't like his cuz you might find like you have already that you will have a masterpiece a man that doesn't work create for somebody else think of somebody like me or my mother who can't move her body and create for them create something for those who cannot maybe that might help all of you but you are valued and your opinions are valued take good care God bless

Prayers for everyone around the world. I too cannot sleep. I live in NYC also in lockdown. Every hour I hear the sound of an Ambulance Siren and I know all too well what that means. After hearing Carolyn's Story of the woman who was driving her to the airport, I now will say a Prayer for the person in each and every Ambulance instead of reacting with fear and anxiety. It was no accident that you came across this video. I have read every one of Carolyn Myss's books, I listened to her audible books when I was undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Her words are powerful. I had no idea she had a You Tube Channel. It literally popped up on my home screen on my Tablet. We were both meant to hear her words. Stay strong. We will get through this TOGETHER ❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Think of those who are in jail; sure they did something wrong but that is not the issue; they are locked up in a tiny cell for about twenty hours a day; it is like being buried alive; hey, we can move around, eat what we want, shop online, go outside, to the grocery store, talk on the phone; do a journal; pray for others. Come on! It is not forever; it has been like two months!

Thanks, Caroline! I am so enjoying reconnecting with you through your recent messages. You slapped me upside the head with your Anatomy of the Spirit tapes back in the late 90's. Especially the 4th chakra "woundology" lessons. While going through a painful divorce at that time (is there any other kind?), I found I had to walk a tightrope. Grief was on one side and victimhood on the other. I did some profound grief work and for the most part left victimhood behind...or at least I have learned to recognize it when it shows up. I found that grief is an altered state that most of us FIGHT to stay out of. It is so much easier to cultivate fear. It is so cozy and immersive. As with worry, you feel like you're doing something, joining others in it. Grief is harder to get to. It lies behind all the frustrated anger we feel at the rotten choices we have made collectively as a species. I think there is a lot of grief work to be done now and I hope our hearts open to let it alter us. On the other side will be the new energy that will shift us into a more awakened co-creation. www.chriswitkowski.com/

Connection in prayer has been the best thing to come out of this situation. I think the miasma of the virus feeds on feelings of suppressed sadness, abandonment, and separation that creates much congestion in the lungs. We all need to come together in prayer to boost our immune systems by feeling connected and this hopefully should keep the miasma away.

Dearest Caroline, After listening to this audio I knew I had to write. I walk my beautiful rescue golden retriever, Nanda, every morning around 6 am and as we walk, I say my prayers, intentions, affirmations etc. I end with loving-kindness and picture the light within me shining to all those on my ‘prayer list’ as well as those living near and far… picturing the light within my heart/soul flowing out to everyone. I ‘know’ within me that this is real. But after hearling your story about the woman who had the auto accident, the tears rolled down my cheeks (happy ones) because it so magnified what I already knew to be true. And when I share this light now, it is from an even deeper, more resonant space within me. So thank you so very much for sharing this. Love and blessings in this painful yet beautiful time and beyond. Maureen

Dearest Caroline....I say the following to connect the power of language to consciousness and to this opportunity for healing: You're a wordsmith, I believe you will understand. At the very start of this pandemic I thought "we've been obsessing on social media about 'going viral' as being the ultimate accolade in an online world - a sign of success, achievement, even monetary riches - and now look at what we've created!" So, if indeed we have created this on some level, maybe through the constant energy we've put into that word 'viral', let's take that power and create, connect and regenerate our planet and ourselves by putting energy into words and practices of 'healing' and 'love'. Does anyone else have this same sense of what's 'hiding in plain sight' here? Blessings and precious thanks for your teachings Caroline.

You are truly helping me more than you might ever know Caroline so for that I bless you🙏..I totally understand about missing family members as I am a grandmother to a much missed 2 year old..and as you point out seeing her on facetime does not seem to fill that ache in your heart to physically hug and kiss them..but what a wonderful lesson we as a collective have created for ourselves to begin to realise more fully and value what actually matters to us, and bring us sharply into focus with that. I am sitting here needing dental care I can't access and it is compounding for me what I should have been much more grateful for, when I had it! The funny side; when we do get let out of our self isolation, we are going to be reminded once again of the times at the end of the dance when the full lights get put on, and we all truly see what "normal " people looked like before commercialism hit..no hair extensions..no false eyelashes..grey uncut hair..broken glasses..and teeth glued in by yours truely!!🤣🙏❤

thank you deeply Caroline...I have been struggling so much these past days, with this exact feeling of breaking down...my inner demons, me lifelong depression, isolation, worry for loved ones and for the world, fear...a sense of wasting this precious time by not being free from my inner trappings to be and give and share and be the best version of me...holding on the hope and the workings of a possible break through instead... thank you at this time for sharing the story of the prayer, I have been following your teachings for years and remember how much it struck me and yet we forget...we need to remember awareness...blessings to you blessings to all much Love

Eckhart Tolle's recent You Tube post have helped me. Along with new podcast by James Finley at Center For Action and Contemplation CAC.org. The slow, gentle soothing tones of the voices ofthese wonderful teachers soothe my soul. Praying for you. Peace to you.

Dear Caroline, I have just tuned into your podcasts recently... When the student is ready, the teacher appears! I have been relatively bed bound for the past 8 or 9 years from a medical device. B4 that I worked at a job I loved, as a teacher. The changes that occur when one is living in chronic pain are many and varied. People disappear, the axis of ones Earth changes. While lying in bed one day questioning where my friends went, I heard/felt God assure He had me and would never abandon me. My search for him began in earnest. I knew as long as He was with me, I would be ok...regardless of my circumstance. I began reading more, got a mindfulness coach, prayed more. If I did little more than that in a day, it was a full day. I find the parallels with this Covid "lifestyle" to be similar. The biggest difference is that I decided to move into my mom's apartment with her. We have been riding this wave together. I am no longer alone, I have someone to pray with every day... Esp. for this world and all of God's suffering children. I was accustomed to not going out often and seeing people infrequently. I joined a group with similar difficulties and was able to be a part of a larger "life" than I had been living. I thank you for your talks. They are uplifting and verify what I have been learning on my journey. I look forward to further "conversations" with you. Sincerely, Donna S

I didn’t see this til now. But yesterday afternoon I got my copy of a book about Solidarity in Poland. Listening to Carolyn Casey visionary activist podcast and they discussed a goldfish that was put into a big pond and kept swimming in shape of its bowl until the wild fish swam to it and communicated that there was an enormous pond to swim in. Then it darted away into the wild pond.
