I think the point is, if we are stuck in that jar, we need someone else to loosen it for us, there is no way to loosen a jar from the inside. For me , that someone was God, who used people around me to actually turn that lid. A pretty good analogy.

For me it started from the inside there were no one to turn the lid in my case. The lid began to turn the moment I started praying 🙏 from the inside. The Lord heard my cry. If my people will humble themselves and then I will hear their cry. My lid was to tight but God you must be willing to cry out.

Thank you Dan for your videos they are reaching us struggling with addiction all over I live in northwest Montana and my impatient treatment facility introduced me to your inspirational videos and when I find myself having a hard day I watch or rewatch your videos. I have 98 days clean from my last relapse I share your videos with friends who reach out to me that are still struggling with this life long disease that we share. I tell myself forever is not that long. I have experienced some of the blessings of recovery and look forward to more of them.

It’s been 3 days now clean have a loving family a wife and brother that have done what no one else in the world would do for me, yet I still find myself messing up. Any words of wisdom to help me along I’m 44 years old my kids look at me differently because I behave differently. I’m clean now but that could break so easily how do I stay away from this devil
