Beware of taking the GR to 85mph. Toyota just denied the warrenty on an engine fire, because the owner drove the car 85mph. Its probably okay under 80mph, but whatever you do, don't go 85, unless you're okay not having a warrenty. Likely next, Toyota will be reporting owners driving above the speed limit, to the police.

Please ask these questions next time you are near a Toyota representative to see if we can have the answers: No center console arm rest and or storage space yet? The excuse was that it was a manual transmission only car. What's the excuse this time? And when will they get rid of the dust and fingerprints collecting piano black interior parts? Did they already fixed the infotainment issues? What about the hidden tracking and information sending computer that sends information without your knowledge to Toyota, dealerships and insurance companies? When will the steering wheel can be telescoped and tilt further upwards and towards the driver? When will they use bigger brakes at the back? I find it abnormal and asymetrical that manufacturers pay too much attention to the front brakes when is always better to have a rear-bias braking balance for both hard cornering and extensive use. Is the trunk space enhanced? Why they don't give us the motor with at least 100 HP more and 105 more torque for a more rounded number of 400 and call it the 400 edition? (I call dibs if they really make this one)

These Toyotas are more BMW like and less Toyota like. I bet lot of new guys would love them. But people like myself grew up with Toyota are less likely to buy. In fact lot of Toyotas are out of my buying list as the main purpose of buying a Toyota "was" reliability. I don't expect to drive a loaner car while the car is in the show for new engine or waiting for new injectors like new Hondas or do frequent oil changes to avoid oil dilution. Instead of GR Corolla or GR86 I would lease a fun BMW or Audi. Or even Tesla is been ugly is not a concern and acceleration is your cup of tea.
