I thought a weird sequence in the editing was when we saw Chula working on Echo’s outfit, and later she goes to the pawn shop to ask for her sewing machine (after we saw her working in the outfit), and then she was kidnapped. Later Echo finds the outfit at Chula’s and it’s completed? Something was missing for sure.

That's essentially what it is. They were basically saying though that we don't hear about or meet her parents, and because Maya and Bonnie are cousins, are their moms sisters or is it like a 2nd or 3rd cousin type thing where their shared ancestor is Chula's mom or something. Basically, yes, she's descended from Chafa like Maya is, explaining how she can use the powers, but beyond being cousins we aren't sure what that family tree looks like.

That said, it's not out of the question that they could be cousins by marriage also, Chafa could have had many children and Maya could be descended from one of her children while Bonnie from another, then once the genes are diluted enough the families married. I know that sounds weird and worse than it is, but that's literally how every single person on Earth came about, whether you believe the Judeo-Christian version or the scientific version, either way there was still 1 man and 1 woman whose genetics got passed down and are inside every single person today and how genetics continue to work today (I think they say that if you can track your genes to 6 or more generations before you or something like that that you can find a familial connection to every other person who ever lived, whether they're alive today or are already dead). Once it gets down to like 12.5% or 7% or less relation or something like that (so basically like 5 or so generations) marriage and intercourse can occur not only legally but also without causing any sort of genetic abnormalities or whatever caused by inbreeding, so while not necessarily as clean of a family tree, it's still possible to have them both be cousins by marriage and have similar ancestry.

I thoroughly enjoyed Echo. Yeah, we see that a lot was cut and some scenes were rushed, but overall it is a great show. I would love to have The Defenders in the MCU, fast paced action and ground-level heroes. Also, I don't think we will see Maya in Thunderbolts, it's already quite the stacked cast.

Devery Jacobs, brilliant in Res Dogs, who played Bonnie voice Kahhori in What If... maybe a familial link? Nice to see Big, the spirit (maybe the funniest character on TV ever) and Bev (also funny) from Res Dogs in Echo too as William Lopez, Nita and the MC at the Pow Wow.

Not really related much, but I'd love to see a version of the original Defenders team, with the more supernatural characters like Dr. Strange, Daimon Helstrom (how it's spelled in the show), and Hellcat. And we also have Namor and Hulk, so you can put them in there, as well. Maybe mix the two teams a little bit. Which makes me think we should also see like a mix between the original and modern Champions teams. Ghost Rider, Ms. Marvel, Hercules, Yelena as Black Widow, Nova (hopefully a younger one), Kate Bishop. This is the MCU. We have all of these characters available right now (except Nova), so just... Take advantage of it. No need to do things exactly as in the comics. If they want to mix around the lineup of the teams for the MCU, I say they do it. Edit: Oh... I guess they did bring up the classic Defenders.

Helestorm is literally the only MCU project I haven't seen. And I've watched all the shorts, all shows even the whih show videos. I was so relieved to see the creator of Helestorm say it isn't part of the MCU even though it was initially supposed to be. Apparently all the references were taken out except the roxxon industry thing which is canon to any Marvel universe not just the MCU.

They have a good point. I remember waiting for the finale of Wandavision and thinking about who Paul Bettany was saying he was glad to work with them for the first time. That week probably built up my anticipation enough to get deflated when it turned out to be Vision vs Vision.

Daredevil Season 3 and Jessica Jones Season 3 both ended like a week before The Snap. Kingpin probably never went to Jail and Trish/Hellcat was on her way to The Raft.

Echo was definitely refreshing...something we haven't had from marvel in a while, and I think it has something to do with the attention to detail from them showing how Maya isn't the perfect hero without emphasizing on her disabilities and her connection to kingpin and how well they dug into the cultural aspect of everything without making a big deal of it either, I definitely would say when it comes to the interconnectivity of the MCU especially with characters like Echo who we might not see so much of after this show, they should take more time telling her story and just focus on the potency of the character so that when everything does culminate we have a good idea of what's going through her mind...there could have definitely been way less Kingpin in this show considering we'll see much more of him throughout all of this, while i do feel his was necessary when it came to telling Mayas story i felt like it was more of a how maya plays a role in kingpins life instead of how kingpin plays a role in mayas life which is how it should have been considering it's her show... Disney is way too focused on each project being a hit instead of the bigger picture which is why projects like she-hulk ,the marvels and secret invasion flopped...if they keep doing this we going to end up with a bunch of mediocre characters who we hardly know anything about in secret wars, Disney needs to change things up and leave the algorithm alone. It just doesn't make sense why Echo has 5 episodes and Daredevil is going to have 18 episodes, has three seasons on netflix, and still has been featured in 3 mcu projects now, I get he's a fan favorite but they can't keep relying on him and kingpin for every grounded project to do well

Honestly, the whole monster truck was just cringe. Biscuits turned grandma's truck into a monster truck in like a day? By himself? With parts from a junk yard? Uh... sure. Because... why? I mean, it's completely useless to her now. She was clearly using it for delivering mail, thus the right hand drive. Now she has to get out and climb down to every mail box. Honestly, I don't get the Biscuits fan fare. Didn't find him amusing, just dumb. It’s not Finn Jones’ fault that Iron Fist sucked but that’s one Netflix marvel show that definitely should be rebooted. It’s not super beloved as a show. Plus, now that we movies like Shang Chi, Crazy Rich Asians and Everything Everywhere All at Once which can all find success with a full Asian cast, it will be better to cast an Asian actor as Iron Fist and just move on from that version.

Justice for Iron Fist, the Netflix show is horrible yes, and that’s why it’s important. Please note, that show is not at all representative of a truly amazing character with one of the best mythologies in comics. It bastardized and ruined everything that makes him great. Reboot. Recast. READ MATT FRACTIONS IMMORTAL IRONFIST RUN! It’s an all time run. He is the best pure fighter in the entire marvel universe.

I really hate the word "unreleasable" used by the press. The story and scripts were pre-approved, Marvel likely always has execs watching dailies, the directors here have made TV before, and they have the second unit directors on hand as well. Creating something that's unreleasable shouldn't even be possible with so many layers of skill and scrutiny. Maybe it just wasn't what they wanted or it wasn't "MCU" enough, but I'm sure it had a style, good performances and something to say. The "MCU look" is a huge problem that Marvel doesn't even seem to realize it has.
