Mick did your 771 have a drier on it then?.. the 7/120 has no drier ?
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
Yeah its not a dryer as such is a cooler cold air is easier to dry in a water trap also cold air is nicer on the pot/pipes etc yeah my 71 had a cooler I don't fink it's worth ripping it out to put on the 120 as 71 is 260cfm and it was factory fitted 120 is 425cfm I would say it wouldn't be man enough it did cross my mind and I will definitely revisit the idea if I cannot live with this 😀

Hi Mick, would you recommend this method (sand blasting) for the cleaning up off bath limestone building? For example where the limestone has started to go darker and black in places? Thanks
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
It depends chemicals can do a good job but limited to how clean they can get the serface were as blasting is abrasive and needs a skilled operator not to damage the soft stone but in the right hands I would recommend blasting over chemical 👍

I agree with you about the farrow flow , If it was a hundred quid i would take a punt but its a lot of brass to lay out without an independent review by someone like you

Hopefully it will be a good asset. Road works only use 140cfm units finding stuff that's big enough for blasting is like finding hobby horse shit 😂

Aye, mind I was having all problems way back at the start, that was because I didn't have the aftercooler. It's totally impossible to regulate anything and end up using twice as much grit too. Do you no still have that coalescing filter that you showed me once? It might help
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
Funny you ask that as its was in the van and I was going to pipe it up but after an hour or so it started to flow nearly. I didn't have my box of tricks to change the fittings to make it work anyways 😅

Hi Mick. What is the maximum pressure bar your compressor working?
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
8.6 bar is its working pressure it would go to 12bar but not safely its best to stay in its safe working load I only need 7bar at the nozzle I need flow more than psi
@nathantilly3539 Жыл бұрын
good stuff man looks tidy, it seems like the machines faster - I know its probablies not, it's the same power as last one right? but it's probablies nice for you not to have to piss about every 15-30 mins when it conks out. glad to see it's working looks that that 1k hour service did it's job. nice one mick
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
It's nearly dubble the power of the last 1 but it's all restricted by the nozzle at full power I would definitely struggle to keep control of what's happening. I have plans for this year hence buying this bigger rig just I won't spoil too much just have to keep watching 😅 looks like it's sorted pal I still need to run it on full demand under full load before I know for sure but I haven't had any issues with it this job 🙏

Mike can you put the cooler from your author compressor on this new one? Is that possible.?
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
I don't fink it would be cut out to do the work needed as the last rig is 260cfm and this is 425cfm I was going to give it a go but wanted to make sure it's faults are ironed out before investing anymore money into it as I would need a complete re plumb on the air end side on both rigs to make it work
@abuubaydullah1 Жыл бұрын
Can you use the cooler of the old unit Mick .
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
Yeah but I don't know if it will cope as that's designed to work at 260cfm and this is 425cfm plus I don't want to make the old 1 too far gone to repair as it is I only need a ECU for it and I've got a good backup plan
@abuubaydullah1 Жыл бұрын

Can you fix the after cooler from your old compressor
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
I can but I don't know if it's worth doing as it's designed to work at 260cfm and the new 1 is 425cfm I don't know if it would cope plus I don't really want to rob bits off the old 1 as it only needs a ECU and I can have a decent backup plan

@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
😬 they are about £4k +vat 😳 I have a something similar but I'm fairly sure it needs filters and it's was bought to go along side my 260cfm I would need to check if it can cope with 425cfm

Looks like a john deere motor with the turbo? had my 260 for 16 years, ran faultlesly, oil changed every 100 hours, diesel filters changed every 25 hours, i put a cheap fram replacement filter head on, so a couple of quid to change, and a 50p inline filter, moral of the story is.... keep those diesel filters changed!!!
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
my 260 Service intervals are every 250 hours 1000 hour service is oil air separator and belt this 425 is John deer and Service intervals are the same specified by doosan I do have spare air filters and change these as and when needed they like to eat dust haha

Sand must be blocked/Wet ! - That's water that's coming out the nozzle i reckon
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
Water don't remove anything it will only suppress the dust made with media. With this setup anyways. Water at higher psi and a direct nosel would cut but not like this 👍
