Didn't know the guy but I saw his signature session and he absolutely killed it. Amazing guitarist.

What an infectious rundown. Always loved that guitar even before his Sig’ model run. That jazz-stuff at 06:20 is marvellous!

I've been a big fan of Brent's for a long time, I've been saving up for years to build/ buy a Brent Mason style tele. Lol if you've heard any 90s-2000's country music hits you've heard Brent Mason play. Love that tone! Great playing as always Budda!

I have this guitar and I can't stop pulling down on 9th chords like your doing at 11:30 .... It's an incredible guitar.!!!!!...one thing I don't like is those machine heads....but easy to swap out apart from that I like the 7.25 radius but like you was apprehensive to start with....I lowered the bridge and neck pickups a little its sounds incredible through a boss me80 into a fender super champ x2 clean channel I can tell you !

Good video. I do believe the bender is more suited for country pickin, emulating steel guitar licks. 🙂

Jimmy Page used it a lot. It’s a bender so you use it as you loke

The Brent Mason telecaster is a great guitar. Mine is set up just the way I like it now. I didn’t even have to adjust the neck which as most of us guitarists know is not always the case with any factory set up. I did adjust the intonation and the action to my playing style. I am trying to adjust my playing style where I can avoid hitting the neck pickup with my pick though because it’s microphonic and you’ll hear the tapping of the pick through your amp. However the non potted neck pickup is part of its tonal charm because it’s more airy and bright in its tonal character. All the old vintage pickups where non potted which is why they have their unique tonal charm amongst other things of course. However high gain may be an issue but I haven’t used that pickup yet in any high gain situation.

How did you adjust the action?

Any problems with longer bendings? I thought the jimmy page telecaster was also 7.25 radius.
@BuddaGuedes3 жыл бұрын
And it is but usually I prefer flatter radius!!!

@@BuddaGuedes In your experience with 7.25, have you had problems? I'm interested in Jason Isbell's telecaster, but it also has 7.25.
@BuddaGuedes3 жыл бұрын
I think it’s more shot the frets. The vintage ones are probably too low for my playing. It’s a very comfortable guitar

That guitar is advertised for $12000. That's about $11000 to much. Fender has never made anything worth that much money, and I'm a fender guy. I can't figure out why anyone would pay that much money for a fender telicaster or a Stratocaster for that matter.

That’s the price for the custom shop limited edition. This is 2444€
@guitarpicker68442 жыл бұрын
Yeah the 12k is custom shop. The one he's playing is less than 3k 🇺🇸. I'd never give 12k for a new guitar either but 3k for such a versatile Tele actually isn't ridiculous.
