Saw Shinedown back in the summer of 06. They did a show Sunday night then Monday afternoon stopped by a hole in the wall joint called the 505 in Santa Rosa, CA and did a 5 song acoustic set before having to rush to the airport. Jaysin and Brent absolutely killed it! It was amazing! Great guys, too! They stayed after to say hi to everyone before they left.

Why does everyone ripping on tony's playing. He's not playing it wrong, or off time. I'm a guitarest and a singer i can honestly say there's not one thing wrong with his playing. It's just his own style and his rendition of this and the other songs are ORIGINAL. Not WRONG.

@addisonshinedown Jasin was married to Ronnie's daughter when Shinedown first started out, and played shows at Ronnies wifes club and did the song as a tribute and to thank her, and they stopped when Jasin was kicked out of the band, wasnt right to play the song when the guy connected to it for them is no longer in the band

they stopped for 2 reasons, they feel it isn't right to play a song they dedicated to the late dimebag darrel, but two (more important) jason was the one who wanted to play it, brent never wanted to.

Just because the guitar player can play the song somewhat doesn't mean I should "respect good music." I respect the hell out of Skynyrd and Shinedown for their renditions of this song. However, the guitar player, Tony Battaglia, isn't even keeping time with Brent's singing. What he does on the choruses sounds alright, but his picking procession during the verses is horrible. But like I said, Brent Smith is amazing. And he still makes it incredible.

Personally, I'm not a fan of josh Groban. Sure the guy can sing, but I find his voice and his style annoying.

different genre...but how about somebody like josh groban. who could dominate brents, roberts, adn steves vocals. not trying to be a bastard...just saying...kinda close minded to just go out there and say that nobody can ever compare to those 2. it's a matter of taste....not fact. come on now.
