@@Anotherguy1st What?
@Anotherguy1st
@Anotherguy1st Жыл бұрын
@@tomat8 I'll explain in more detail. So a woman created a thread titled "Was I graped?" She proceeded to explain her situation which consisted of adult fun with a male friend. It was consensual which she mentioned at least twice, I believe more than that though if I remember correctly. Well the problem arose when he asked to finish inside his partner, she said she didn't want that. He asked again and she said no again. Well despite this, and despite the fact he was using a condom he decided to finish inside his partner. Keep in mind this was inside the condom, one of the reasons you use them in the first place. Her question to the rest of reddit was if it was grape. She hadn't thought it was but after talking to one of her friends she thought it might be because she told her it was. I responded that it was not in fact grape, she was having consensual intercourse of her own free will and her partner had chosen to disregard her wishes in one particular area. The closest thing that he did that could be considered to grape would be stealthing, but he never removed the condom so it wasn't that either. Well because of this response I was permanently banned from the subreddit r/dating. When I asked them why they claimed I was soapboxing/promoting an agenda. Basically they didn't like what I had to say so they silenced me.

As a 20 year old GenZ Christian man, all I genuinely care about is being able to find a woman to settle down with and build a family and I refuse to use dating apps. You think with being this young I would be focused on my career or preforming random high-jinx with friends but somehow I find myself caring more about finding love and expanding my blood line. Which I don’t know why I have that desire. I do have to put God first and Myself second however. In due time my desire will be fulfilled, but if I let it consume me now, I will fall apart and it will never come to pass.

I met my wife on a dating app (bumble) I think it's important to pick a dating app that represents what you're looking for, maybe don't use Tinder if you're looking for a serious relationship. The year I met my wife I went into the dating scene with the attitude of "it's ok if it doesn't work out, if I get rejected, or if I'm not into her, it's just a date, move on and try again, don't get discouraged." With that mindset, I had about 10 first dates that year (some good, some horrible), dated 2 girls for a couple months each, and then met my wife in November. For reference, I probably didn't do that much dating in the entire 8 years prior. That's the kind of I don't care attitude you need to have. I also talked about my intentions, and what I was looking for on my first dates. My wife and I talked about kids and our 5/10yr plans on our first date, at the time we were both in our 30's living in our parent's homes, 4yrs later we are married bought a home and have a 1.5yr old hoping to have another child in the next year or 2. Anyway, that's my online dating success story no one asked for lol.

When I tried dating apps, the biggest problem was that people you match with absolutely refuse to hold a conversation, and even the ones who do will randomly drop it. They won't unmatch. They won't explain. They won't tell you they're not right for each other. They'll just stop talking, and then you don't even figure it out until you wait a few days and nothing happens. Women are so scared of confrontation that they don't even respect guys enough to say "I'm not interested, sorry." Of course, then I realize, "if she doesn't care about common conversational politeness, she's probably not worth pursuing anyway.

It because they are looking for attention. They don't unmatch or say they are not interested because they like the attention you give them. For example they will say they are busy or mis the message which is bs. You tell them mean instead of something nice. They will respond 50% more likely. Meaning they are seeing your messages they just choose not to respond. That why you match a girl. Tell her eww you ugly and unmatched her immediately.

It’s because when we do send a message to kindly tell them we’re not interested, they call us a whore, bitch, tease, or say we lead them on. Or they accuse of us not giving them a chance, not knowing what we want, and of being shallow. And then they tell us we’re going to be alone forever. I am not exaggerating, and this is not a rare occurrence. It’s happened to me and several women I know. A lot of men act nice until they get “rejected.” And a lot of women (myself included) are just afraid to send these courtesy messages. Perhaps I’ll start sending these messages again if there really are men out there who appreciate it. But from what I’ve seen, most men view it as a slap in the face rather than a courtesy.

It completely warped my sense of the value of dating and courtship. When you can line up multiple dates with different women every week with very little effort it really skews your life outlook and morals. I had multiple dates in the same day several times. @@ashfordj81 Mainly because they don't get an A, they just get the D. If you're looking to hook up as a woman, just do whatever, it doesn't matter. These are probably the same women who complain that guys are pigs, but of course the guys they meet are pigs because they only match with guys they find attractive, and attractive guys have options and aren't going to swipe on you if you put in no effort unless they're just trying to hook up.

I matched with a woman on hinge a couple weeks ago. She thought my comment on her prompt was funny and clever. I asked her about one of her other prompts where she essentially said you should leave a comment if you can do laundry and clean the dishes. She said the prompt was a result of a conversation she had with some of her friends, and how if guys wanted to attract "quality women" they would talk about being able to do stuff like the laundry. That same "quality woman" ghosted me after sending 2 messages, and unmatched without a word the next day. I'm starting to think that maybe we had different definitions of the word "quality".

I have had to be the forward one (I am a timid person it is not in my personality to do this), and I have friends who have as well. The guys that were gutsy enough to ask me in person were generally the very controlling type and one guy I went out with a few times tried to convince me to go vegan and change my religious beliefs...but when I tried online dating I was INUNDATED with matches. There is an interesting behavior people tend to exhibit where increased options, decreasing decision making, and increasing buyer remorse (where you wonder id you made a mistake and should've chosen the other product.). I definitely believe that dating apps is causing this to happen in the dating market. The more options a woman has, not just the more picky she becomes, but the more she might struggle to commit or wonder if another guy would be better. Not judgements for feeling that way, as it is a common behavior, but one to be monitored and worked on if you experience it. Can happen for men as well, but probably not the same degree.

100% agree with being honest about your values, even if they're not popular. Shared values are the bedrock of strong relationships. Compromising or hiding your values in your profile is only going to get you dates that end in disappointment, with both of you realizing that you have fundamental disagreements. Waste of everyone's time, including your own. Also agree with your producer on "I like going on adventures," lol. It means "I want you to plan fun things and take me places (and I probably don't want to pay for any of it)." Hiking is overemphasized on dating apps because everyone wants to seem outdoorsy and in shape. If you say you like cycling or tennis or something, you have to actually have a bike or know how to play tennis. "I like hiking" is an easy way for many people to pretend they exercise without needing to invest in equipment or have coordinated skill. No offense to people who truly do love hiking; I know you can invest in it and there is a level of skill you achieve...but lots of people don't do or have any of that, and just want to make potential matches think that they get out of the house on a regular basis.

Also there's a big difference between loving dogs and being a "dog mom." Dog moms are the women who love dogs because they're easier than kids. Women who are too immature and selfish to make the sacrifices that children require, so they've latched onto dogs because they provide companionship in exchange for 1/10th of the effort and commitment. Loving dogs = great. "My fur baby is better than your skin baby" = puke. And yes, I have actually seen people say things like that. "Child free" forums are horrible places.

I treated dating like a job interview. I joked that I wanted to see a resume, references and credit score but you can’t. My now husband gave me a resume and had three friends ready to talk to me as references when we started dating. I knew I had a good thing when he got my humor 😂

I stopped using dating apps because, even though I was extremely honest with who I am and what kind of relationship I’m looking for, I never was able to actually go out on a date with a woman since they dropped the conversation after a few days to 1 week. I’d rather meet people in person.

I drove someone to a party as they spent 30 minutes photoshopping their dating profile picks on a phone. I can't imagine you can do a particularly sophisticated job on a phone and it just seems like an act of self-hatred.

LOL my now husband started off by saying he was looking to casually date and I replied to him that I was flattered he was interested and commented about his profile but that I wasn't looking to casually date. That my hope was to find a long term (hopefully forever relationship). He messaged me back almost immediately and said that he was very recently divorced and he wants to find a long term relationship but thought that it might be to soon to put that because it might put some women off knowing he basically just got out of a relationship. I gave him a chance and honestly we were almost immediately inseparable and either of us could be any happier. =)

The problem with male dating profiles is most of us dudes have very few decent photos of ourselves so subject matter tends to be repetitive; fishing, hunting ect.

Absolutely love you and your content. Hurts that you had such a bad view of Reddit. I guess it could have some crazy shit but there is really such good content and amazing people on Reddit. It's so diverse.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the "Looking for long term but open to short." He wants a long term relationship, but he's so desperately lonely that he's willing to do short term relationships, even if he doesn't achieve anything with them. It might be a smart thing to do short term relationships if you're looking to use them to meet more people who might be interested in long term, but it does come across as desperate.

rule on dating apps is - as a woman you dont have to do anything, you can literally put a picture of your fridge on there and still get matches. most dont have a bio or any tags cause one down angle cleavage picture is enough to get showered with likes and messages. actually the more she gives away in her bio the less you want to hook up, since often times they just use their bio to rant. as a man... totally different game. you need every trick in the book in addition to look at least somewhat attractive to stand out among all these competitors - its exhausting. Tinder is damaging to everyone on there, enough experiments have been done to show the reality of it...

The astrology comment -- pure gold. One of my favorite memes was one my buddy sent me where someone was offering another person an astrology chart and the second person responds with, "None for me, thanks. I take full responsibility for my shitty behavior." 😂
