@@Anotherguy1st What?
@Anotherguy1st
@Anotherguy1st Жыл бұрын
@@tomat8 I'll explain in more detail. So a woman created a thread titled "Was I graped?" She proceeded to explain her situation which consisted of adult fun with a male friend. It was consensual which she mentioned at least twice, I believe more than that though if I remember correctly. Well the problem arose when he asked to finish inside his partner, she said she didn't want that. He asked again and she said no again. Well despite this, and despite the fact he was using a condom he decided to finish inside his partner. Keep in mind this was inside the condom, one of the reasons you use them in the first place. Her question to the rest of reddit was if it was grape. She hadn't thought it was but after talking to one of her friends she thought it might be because she told her it was. I responded that it was not in fact grape, she was having consensual intercourse of her own free will and her partner had chosen to disregard her wishes in one particular area. The closest thing that he did that could be considered to grape would be stealthing, but he never removed the condom so it wasn't that either. Well because of this response I was permanently banned from the subreddit r/dating. When I asked them why they claimed I was soapboxing/promoting an agenda. Basically they didn't like what I had to say so they silenced me.

As a 20 year old GenZ Christian man, all I genuinely care about is being able to find a woman to settle down with and build a family and I refuse to use dating apps. You think with being this young I would be focused on my career or preforming random high-jinx with friends but somehow I find myself caring more about finding love and expanding my blood line. Which I don’t know why I have that desire. I do have to put God first and Myself second however. In due time my desire will be fulfilled, but if I let it consume me now, I will fall apart and it will never come to pass.

I met my wife on a dating app (bumble) I think it's important to pick a dating app that represents what you're looking for, maybe don't use Tinder if you're looking for a serious relationship. The year I met my wife I went into the dating scene with the attitude of "it's ok if it doesn't work out, if I get rejected, or if I'm not into her, it's just a date, move on and try again, don't get discouraged." With that mindset, I had about 10 first dates that year (some good, some horrible), dated 2 girls for a couple months each, and then met my wife in November. For reference, I probably didn't do that much dating in the entire 8 years prior. That's the kind of I don't care attitude you need to have. I also talked about my intentions, and what I was looking for on my first dates. My wife and I talked about kids and our 5/10yr plans on our first date, at the time we were both in our 30's living in our parent's homes, 4yrs later we are married bought a home and have a 1.5yr old hoping to have another child in the next year or 2. Anyway, that's my online dating success story no one asked for lol.

When I tried dating apps, the biggest problem was that people you match with absolutely refuse to hold a conversation, and even the ones who do will randomly drop it. They won't unmatch. They won't explain. They won't tell you they're not right for each other. They'll just stop talking, and then you don't even figure it out until you wait a few days and nothing happens. Women are so scared of confrontation that they don't even respect guys enough to say "I'm not interested, sorry." Of course, then I realize, "if she doesn't care about common conversational politeness, she's probably not worth pursuing anyway.

It because they are looking for attention. They don't unmatch or say they are not interested because they like the attention you give them. For example they will say they are busy or mis the message which is bs. You tell them mean instead of something nice. They will respond 50% more likely. Meaning they are seeing your messages they just choose not to respond. That why you match a girl. Tell her eww you ugly and unmatched her immediately.

It’s because when we do send a message to kindly tell them we’re not interested, they call us a whore, bitch, tease, or say we lead them on. Or they accuse of us not giving them a chance, not knowing what we want, and of being shallow. And then they tell us we’re going to be alone forever. I am not exaggerating, and this is not a rare occurrence. It’s happened to me and several women I know. A lot of men act nice until they get “rejected.” And a lot of women (myself included) are just afraid to send these courtesy messages. Perhaps I’ll start sending these messages again if there really are men out there who appreciate it. But from what I’ve seen, most men view it as a slap in the face rather than a courtesy.

Jason Kelly, Online dating actually advantages the top 10-20% of men most of all. All the women swiping like mad for the same 10-20% of dudes. I spent some time on dating apps years ago. It completely warped my sense of the value of dating and courtship. When you can line up multiple dates with different women every week with very little effort it really skews your life outlook and morals. I had multiple dates in the same day several times. I’ll never go back to that. Closed all my social media too (except for KZbin), and I hope to find a suitable partner that shares my disdain for social media and dating apps.

Around our 6 month anniversary she asked if we could spice things up. I said sure. I was on the bed waiting and she came in on all fours wearing a wolf fursuit and a leash in her mouth. I have tried Hinge twice and it is sad when 90% of the profiles are people who are drinking in every, single, photo. Not against a casual drink here and there, but that's a HUGE red flag to me. TLDR, I got rid of it pretty quickly and have no regrets about it. I know quite a few people have met online and that's great, but hookup culture killed it sadly.

It seems like different regions have different problems on Hinge. I tried it, and I barely remember anyone drinking in their photos. Instead, the problem I had was that 90% of the girls were, for lack of a better word, whores. I remember one profile in particular, she chose a question along the lines of "what is your life's goal?" She wrote "taking a 9 incher". Now, I only know of 2 things that "9 incher" could mean, and I'm fairly confident she wasn't talking about a WW1 heavy artillery piece

I matched with a woman on hinge a couple weeks ago. She thought my comment on her prompt was funny and clever. I asked her about one of her other prompts where she essentially said you should leave a comment if you can do laundry and clean the dishes. She said the prompt was a result of a conversation she had with some of her friends, and how if guys wanted to attract "quality women" they would talk about being able to do stuff like the laundry. That same "quality woman" ghosted me after sending 2 messages, and unmatched without a word the next day. I'm starting to think that maybe we had different definitions of the word "quality".

I definitely believe that dating apps is causing this to happen in the dating market. The more options a woman has, not just the more picky she becomes, but the more she might struggle to commit or wonder if another guy would be better. rule on dating apps is - as a woman you dont have to do anything, you can literally put a picture of your fridge on there and still get matches. most dont have a bio or any tags cause one down angle cleavage picture is enough to get showered with likes and messages. actually the more she gives away in her bio the less you want to hook up, since often times they just use their bio to rant. as a man... totally different game. you need every trick in the book in addition to look at least somewhat attractive to stand out among all these competitors - its exhausting. Tinder is damaging to everyone on there, enough experiments have been done to show the reality of it...

Of course I met some bad apples through online dating too, but I also met my husband, who is a down to earth, fun and silly guy who basically never got any matches. I drove someone to a party as they spent 30 minutes photoshopping their dating profile picks on a phone. I can't imagine you can do a particularly sophisticated job on a phone and it just seems like an act of self-hatred.

The problem with male dating profiles is most of us dudes have very few decent photos of ourselves so subject matter tends to be repetitive; fishing, hunting ect.

I treated dating like a job interview. I joked that I wanted to see a resume, references and credit score but you can’t. My now husband gave me a resume and had three friends ready to talk to me as references when we started dating. I knew I had a good thing when he got my humor 😂

Its actually worse for men. In my experience on dating apps it’s usually 2-3 weeks between getting looks. 9-12 months before getting messaged

I stopped using dating apps because, even though I was extremely honest with who I am and what kind of relationship I’m looking for, I never was able to actually go out on a date with a woman since they dropped the conversation after a few days to 1 week. I’d rather meet people in person.

I don’t date but my bff and I go to different universities and she likes looking at guys out of state. So I made a tinder with no pics of ppl, just animals and some of my photography and said I was just doing this so my bff could look at cute guys. And honestly I’ve gotten so many matches and messages…. There isn’t anything in there to swipe on (except my pets which are so cute) but I still have a bunch of matches who wanna talk which is so funny to me.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the "Looking for long term but open to short." He wants a long term relationship, but he's so desperately lonely that he's willing to do short term relationships, even if he doesn't achieve anything with them. It might be a smart thing to do short term relationships if you're looking to use them to meet more people who might be interested in long term, but it does come across as desperate.

Online dating is a business, with the sole object to keep you single or irritated from endless unmatchable people. They like to convince you are having conversations and getting some hits. But the algorithm is smart , makes incompatible people match with similar interests. Then you blame the other person for a faulty conversation. It's the damn algorithm that's greedy and messing with people's happiness. Even if you pay....

@@Woodsaras how does Max's comment make zero sense? If you download the app and find someone in a month that becomes long term then you'll never redownload or spend money on the app again. So now youre lost revenue. It's a business.

There is a lot of toxic stuff on Reddit, but this is surprisingly chill. I didn't start using reddit until I got a pet rabbit this year and needed advice, and now I spend so much time on r/rabbits because the photos people take are just so cute and wholesome! Also, r/murderbuns, because the photos people take of their rabbits after you did something they didn't like and they start looking like they're straight out of Monty Python is just pure comedy (trust me, rabbits are smart and they WILL come after you if you don't give them their favorite treat)😂

I just uninstalled all of my dating apps because I've only gotten 10 matches and 1 date in the past year and a half that I've had them and that is between 5 apps, it's the unfortunate part of not being very attractive in photos so it was just wasting my time and making me sad.
