Please. Hal forced Cashman to go after the big names. Cashman didn't want to give up 4 pitchers for 1 year of Soto. Fans were about to boycott so Hal got scared and forced Cashman into this trade. Padres got away with a big one here they're set up nicely now while Yankees have no pitching left. Really bad baseball move but Hal had to please you fans.

This wasn’t a Cashman call sadly. He actually was the one that stalled the talks initially. Because he didn’t want to let go of King and Thorpe. It was Hal who called him, like he did with Judge, and told him to do what needs to be done to make this happen

Haven't been the biggest fan of the Yankees management team the last few years, signing ALOT of BAD CONTRACTS- i.e. Stanton, Elsbury,etc- while also trading awat alot of good pitching prospects, but they proved so far and hopefully will continue to prove that they are willing to spend the money to bring in star players and want to win now. That said, we gotta be willing to part with some position prospects to get better pitching depth.

OF defense takes a hit but the offense should make up for it. I don’t like Judge in CF full time, a lot of wear and tear. Grisham helps there as a late game replacement but you still have to take out one of the two big stars to put him in. They still need probably 3 more starting pitchers as you need 8 or more going in.

If they don't keep Soto, WS is the only acceptable outcome. That is the only way I'll even tolerate him walking. If you flub this, I (and I am sure many fans) won't buy tickets or merch for years. I will never quit being a fan, but I will quit giving you my money if you can't spend it well. Hopefully, this is all a moot point - we win WS and keep Soto. And by no means, can we be done this offseason. Still need at least 2 pitchers (Yamamoto, Snell or Monty in FA and a trade pitcher in Bieber or Burnes) and I'd still love another bat (Belli or Chapman would both be so great to go full 2009). No matter what, this threat needs to be heard and understood. The Yankee fanbase is done tolerating failure. And Cash has been a failure for most of his tenure. His predecessors built the Dynasty and he gets credit for 2009 alone.
