You do a great job on your videos. You explain things well without talking down to your followers. I would also like to mention that you put in lots of good information. I've been fishing for nearly 70 years and I learn something new on every video you put out. Thank you for sharing.

Great video and overview. Here is my observation: Tour 8 lb = .009; 15lb = .012; 20lb = .017; Seaguar Gold Label Leader 15lb = .011; 20lb = .013; 25lb = .015; 30lb = .017; Expensive, but competition wise I'd go for it. I am completely switched to Z-man baits after your videos and trials of Elaztech stuff which is awesome! Thanks.

I’m just getting into fishing more than just a really cheap spinning rod. Just upgraded to a Lews spin combo so I really needed this video! Thank you!!
@ryanfahey49974 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian, I’ve been fishing with braid and just started messing with leaders. I only have spinning equipment because that’s what I grew up using. I’m using a 4000 size Daiwa BG on a 7’0” MH rod that I originally bought for saltwater with 50lbs braid... I’ve caught a few massive bass with frogs and by Texas rigging large stick bait and sinking craws. You got me into wacky rigging and I caught a few smaller fish with that set up, but I felt that the line was too heavy for wacky rigs and other finesse techniques, so I put together a 2500 size spinning setup on a 6’6” Medium fiberglass rod with 20lbs braid and a 15lbs fluorocarbon leader, but now you’ve got me thinking that I’m fishing way too heavy. I might use the 15lbs test as a leader on the 4000 with 50lbs braid, and I can hack it off and use the braid alone if I want to fish a frog. How would you suggest I spool up the 2500?

I've been trying to find a personal best flurocarbon based on past advice and videos where you go in depth. As of right now I haven't scratched that itch but I can only go up seeing as there's so much more knowledge I've yet to learn in the fishing world. I appreciate the information b-lat.

B-Lat, Great video. Thank you for keeping it simple and easy to understand. Nice you featured fluo vs braid. There are a lot of people who do not use braid but you would never know that by most video’s. As a finesse fisher the 8 and 15# test are in my wheelhouse. Love the tip about filling your spool. Brooks wanted to give a tip also.

B- Lat. Who was your Mentor for Bass fishing. You have world knowledge for your age. Maybe your self taught. I like your videos very much. Just watched video on Chatter baits. Still haven't caught one this season on one. Been topwater fishing alot this summer. Whopper Ploppers and Buzzbaits. Can't catch any on Poppin 'R's either. Rattle traps were my Father's fine bass bait. I like the baby Rattle Traps too. You just speak my fishing language. I have been watching and learning about bass baits during Covid 19. Those pictures and videos of fishing with your sons was awesome! Just plain ole' down home video's on fishing! Thanks to you B-Lat. Shawn.

Hey Brian, I live in new Mexico there's no lakes or ponds around so I have to fish the ditches. They are narrow and high current with lots of snag spots. I'm having trouble catching bass. You think you could do a video with some tips for bass fishing in those conditions? That would be great! Either way thanks for all the awsome content! Much love bro 👊

How often do you change your leaders when using braid to fluoro? I hate having to tie them on the lake but after a couple hours of casting I always start imagining the knot is wearing out on the rod eyes.
