When all the fishes grow will they become too big for the tank?

Loving the ornate bichir they grow quick mine has doubled lol 😂but I have 2 datnoids and they are stable but they change depending on mood lighting etc but fantastic set up and really enjoying the content, how’s the African tigerfish getting on ? Mine is slow growing to be honest

That's awesome! Unfortunately, I lost the tiger fish in the aquarium move. I mentioned in the setup video. I managed to get the tiger fish feeding well, but it wouldn't put on any weight over the past few months. I think the move caused it to stress and hit the glass Unfortunately. I'm definitely leaning towards making this aquarium a datnoid focused tank 😁

@ awww that’s a shame mine is around 6 inch now was 3 and that’s in 4 month I believe and will only eat bloodworm lol but I love datnoids and when they are fully grown amazing I look forward to following the journey

That's awesome! Yes mine was taking mostly bloodworm but stayed skinny unfortunately. Yes datnoids are quickly becoming my favourite

What is the plant floating at the surface of your tank? I’m pretty sure I recall you saying it when you set the tank up but can’t remember.

Datnoid: "eat you out of house and home"? that's what 1st aquarium fish book I got 30 years ago said. I never homes a dat. Host says nothing about datnoit appetite? 2. 7 datnoids +-2", datnoids grow to 12-24". Current tank is too small for adults, plan?

Yes I have a 420 gallon aquarium, this is just a grow out. I've found them to eat well but nothing compared to my hampala barbs or peacock bass

Datnioides microlepis grows to 45-50 cm in length. It is definitely not a fish for your aquarium. Excuse my bluntness.

@@AquaticElements Sorry man. No offense intended. I haven't seen your 420 gallon tank in your videos and that's why I made the comment, since this fish will outgrow the tank it's in. Maybe I haven't watched all your videos and missed the one with the 420 gallon tank. Excuse my bluntness again. Edited: I'm seeing now a big tank with am Aruanã.
