Thank you so much!!! Yes!!! That's me all the way! I've lost my excess weight 3 times now with BLE and then gained it right back. I'm so excited to work just maintenance for 6 months and then gradually reduce the food to loose weight. This vlog was so what I needed right now! 💞

Yes - this is also my experience. My first round with BLE was tremendous. I lost 110lbs over approx. 18 months, felt the best I've ever felt in my adult life, and maintained for 2 years. Then, a friend invited me to go to Mexico and stay at her timeshare in Feb. 2019 for 2 weeks. I had no problem remaining on maintenance the first week there (I had come prepared with my scale and food journal), but I struggled the second week. I asked my friend for her support, but she couldn't understand... she didn't believe in "food addiction" and kept "encouraging" me to "enjoy" my vacation and allow myself a few treats. It was only a couple of margaritas and a couple of shared desserts, but it threw me completely off my program. When I returned home, I could not fully get back to my bright lines, and then the pandemic hit, and I quickly regained all 110+lbs. I've since rezoomed twice, each time lasting 3 or 4 months before sliding off again. It seems crazy to me how this same friend, who witnessed my complete transformation from a size 20 down to a size 10, and now back up to a size 22, still does not understand or believe that I struggle with food ADDICTION. I feel a complete failure and struggle daily. I was diagnosed with late onset PTSD over the past year (resulting from military sexual trauma experienced 35 years ago) and even though I'm currently receiving therapy, I still experience strong suicidal ideation. I can't even look at myself in the mirror right now, and I feel such shame regarding my weight which has ballooned to 320lbs. So, I am going to give this suggestion of sticking to a maintenance plan for 6 months a go. I feel it's my last chance at living any normal semblance of life. Thank you.

I look forward to the day that I can afford to pay for your program! My weight has been as high as 512 lbs. After Bariatric Surgery my lowest weight was 267. I’m now sitting at almost 370 again. I have purchased your book and am watching this channel. Keep me in your prayers! Thank you for all you do for others.

Well done on such a family weight loss...I do hope you can manage to do a BLE course as it sounds like it would benefit you hugely, in particular as you are experiencing some weight creep. I have read somewhere that BLE offer some scholarship places...Unsure if this is the correct title,but you should contact them and ask....You won't regret it..Best of luck and keep believing in your ability to attain long term achievement and peace around food...My mantra is 100% BLE living is easy, 99% BLE living is menacing. It's the practices and daily rituals in my day that allow 100% compliancy..Go for it...👍👌☀️

Oh my goodness don't let cost deter you!! Seriously! Join the FB group, theres so much help in there & check out the BLE website & apply for a scholarship for the boot camp. I did and got one! I'm so thrilled to be starting it on the 30th! (presently doing the 14 day challenge) There are so many resources available for free with BLE!

Thank You for not giving up on us. Sugar controls me I don't control it. I'm a recovering alcoholic sober 3 years now. I've quit drugs....but the sugar has ahold of me. I feel so hopeless. Why can't I fight it? Why can't I just be consistent to the daily tasks that you suggest? Am I afraid of success? Do I not feel worthy? Knowing all this isn't enough "something" has to make a turn. Praying for chains to be broke.

Wow, I wish I had watched this when it came out. I could have halted my climb back up the scale. Luckily I am now about two thirds of the way back, but it has taken a lot to turn the ship around. I love, love, love the BLE community.

I think this is what I've stumbled onto. I didn't feel ready to commit to full BLE - but I have been ready to do three meals a day; and borrowed the Bright Line Eating books from the library to understand what those meals should consist of. Just over a month in and I'm seeing pleasing changes.

I have lost 140-150 pounds using Bright Line Eating. I am a believer! I still have about 60 more pounds to lose. I have a question about this vlog. I have been wallowing around my current weight for almost a year because I have been on-again/off-again on the quantities line. Is the reason to go on the maintenance plan for six months so that your psyche will get back on board or so that your body's set-point will readjust or both?
@Brightlineeating3 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. The answer can be quite nuanced. We would recommend talking it over with a trusted BLE buddy or MasterMind group. Or, ideally, if you have access to a BLE coach (through a Boot Camp or Bright Lifers coaching call) you could get some coaching around this and determine which path is right for you. You'd want to take into account your score on the Susceptibility Scale and your underlying motivations. 🥰

@@Brightlineeating Thank you for the reply! I did some self-guided "parts work" this past week, and may have gotten to the root of my problem as keeping my lines bright is much easier now. If this solution doesn't last, I will consider the options you suggest. Thanks again!

It just dawned on me: The difference between BLE and FA is the absence of a Higher Power. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a food addict, and without an HP, I have no chance to conquer my addiction.
@oma29633 жыл бұрын
You're correct that BLE is not a spiritual program like any of the 12-Step groups.
@kgalyen3 жыл бұрын
I think you can take your higher power with you wherever you go, BLE or otherwise!
@Brightlineeating3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Sheryn! Bright Line Eating is faith neutral, meaning that anyone can do Bright Line Eating and succeed, whether they have a spiritual or religious practice or not. In this community, it's important to be respectful of people from other belief systems and keep in mind that faith and religion are very important to some people, and not having faith or religion is equally important to others. 🧡

Susan i came across a vlog from 3 years ago where someone suggested starting on the maintenance food plan first, you suggested that having a strong supportive program will do it and that this is the problem not the low caloric food. I believe your openion back then and now make sense to me and now im not sure what to go for since i am in this situation now where i had lots of pefect years then falling down and gaining most of the weight. Im on a weight loss plan for a year or more now and my weight is not going down obviously because I'm sliping. Any guidance? Here is the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqjVmmCqjtiFfrs

Hi Rawan. We went ahead and rewatched that old vlog too (thanks for providing the link!) and it seems like it's a nuanced situation that might depend on the individual's circumstances. This is the type of question that would be best to discuss on a coaching call with one of our loving, expert Boot Camp coaches! They provide the very *best* guidance with so much love and insight! 🧡
