My grandfather ate three eggs two slices of bacon with coffee every morning. He always claimed it was the best meal of the day to keep you going. He lived to be 106! He worked everyday in the yard, gardens and tending to animals. I think its the combination of the two. He ate good and stayed physically active by working hard. Must people today just want to sit and not exercise and think eating healthy will do the trick. It wont.

I try to buy my eggs from a farm just down the HWY from me. They sell out early and if I realize that I need eggs and they are sold out my grocery store has eggs from pasture raised hens. I still prefer to see the hens running around the fields that surrounds the road side stand. The farmer usually plants sunflowers for them to forage in. It protects them from eagles. Their dog also alerts the hens when an eagle is flying close.

My chickens slowly predator-proofed themselves. When the rooster lets out a certain squawk the hens would run under any cover they could find because they knew a hawk was in the area. A different squawk men a dog and they all flew into trees or some other high place out of the dog's reach.

For the last 3 months I have been eating 3 eggs a day along with either a piece of toast or 2 slices of bacon. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about a month before I started this. Along with cutting my carbs at the rest of my meals I have lost 23lbs and when I had my A1C retested a week ago it had dropped from 10 to 6.4. My doctor says I've put my diabetes in remission, something I have never even heard of. I would say that 3 eggs a day isn't a bad thing at least.

I'm nearly 60, look in my 40s and feel it too, weigh 13 stone with muscular build and have normal cholesterol. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and just eat normal balanced foods at other meals. SO MANY advice Doctors out there telling you this and that. I do take advice from some of these people but eat what I feel is right for me and my body. Eggs for me give me great natural protein and I also believe good skin. If I die tomorrow I'm sure it won't be because I ate too many eggs. For me eggs are essential to my diet and I'm convinced they help me keep good health and body and active life. :)

Now been two years eating 3 raw eggs every morning, and been walking 20-60min every day, and the difference in me is between night and day. I haven't lost any weight, but instead I have gone from 63kg to 71kg, which means I'm not underweight anymore. Mental transformation has been huge, more energetic and positive. I could go all day listing the benefits. For example, I used to have a migren headache 1-2 times every month, and now I have had only 2 or 3 migrens in these last 2 years. Also, my back issues are gone, I can breathe better and I sleep less, but I wake up more energetic and less tired.

@@tay.joh.6326 Regular doctors usually never give valid advice on nutrition as they study very little on the topic. They mostly study on medicine and drugs. A doctor once told me that I would be severely lacking in protein yet I get 70 grams of protein every day when I'm not even focusing on getting it. That's like significantly higher than what my body needs. It just goes to show how little doctors know on nutrition. Also the studies which are funded by the egg industry always show that eggs are healthy and most studies that show that, are actually funded by them. This means they have researcher bias and the results are not trustworthy meanwhile non industry funded studies show the opposite results and they rarely ever have bias in them, making them trustworthy and valid.

I have a long history of high cholesterol. Twenty-five years ago, I started at 1200 total with only 17 of that as HDL and the doctor said it was genetic. I became a vegetarian in part to control my cholesterol. I didn't eat many eggs and never the yolks and my cholesterol lowered to about 300 total and hovered at 19 HDL and I was on statin drugs. I had a bad reaction to the statins and stopped taking them after about 10 years after reading about the side effects which my doctor had been denying. My pain was dramatically reduced but the muscle damage is permanent and I have a high calcium score of 399 which I might have avoided with correct info. For about a year now, I have been eating 3 to 6 eggs a day with yolks from my own hens on an organic feed. My cholesterol is now 274 LDL and 44 HDL. The increased HDL will hopefully continue to improve my number and maybe reduce the calcium score. Doctors "practice" medicine. We need to be proactive.

I complained to my doctor but he denied that it was the drug and xrays that I had to beg for showed no problem so he decided I had no problem. I changed doctors. It can affect the heart which is a muscle if you are sensitive to satins. They say that only happens in 1% of patients. I eat pasture raised eggs from Thyme market. I’ve been eating 3 soft boiled eggs a day for the last week. I wanted to increase my protein grams to between 30 and 45 for.breakfast I’ve been loosing muscle mass as I’m getting older oatmeal and walnuts just aren’t enough protein for breakfast. I’ve been falling short of 60 grams a day suggested for women. Eggs being the best quality of protein I decided to add the eggs first .

@@XVeganDaveGodFreeX Wrong! Many Cardiologists now believe Sugar and inflammation from chronically elevated insulin is what initially damages the arteries in the first place. Cholesterol is the bodies internal band aid and simply arrives on the scene to repair the damaged artery. The JACC just reversed themselves on the "its Cholesterol and red meat" hypothesis. It's the high carb, high insulin, vegetable oils, causing arterial inflammation in the first place. Tackle the source.

Thanks for this information. I would like to add to the facts, something I learning for rising chickens; when you stop feeding them Laying Feed, they will lay eggs naturally, but there are a couple of months toward the end of the year, when they don't lay many eggs, and that is the time when we are not suppose to eat plenty. So I think that the bad rap is from data, generated from conditions of eating too many eggs in that off period. And because of the commercialization, chickens are simulated to drop eggs consistently, for marketing purpose.
