Bring Back F-Zero, Nintendo!

Can't say I've played a lot of F-Zero. Back then, my brother and I only had F-Zero GX without a memory card. But with what little I remember, and how much I've played as Captain Falcon in every iteration of Smash Bros, I would not mind having a new F-Zero game. They were a lot more hectic and faster than I could've handled at the time, but they were exhilarating to play. Plus the smaller things like choosing boost vs health and being able to 'swipe' at opponents made it feel like a fight more than a race at times. Would love to see more F-Zero one day.

Here's hoping Nintendo is testing the water with F-Zero 99 and we get a proper new game in the next couple of years.

My first jump into F-Zero was Smash Bros too! Only played the game in the masterpieces section of Smash Bros Brawl, and it was fun. I haven't played a lot of [futuristic] racing games, besides Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, and Crash, and the Mario Kart games. I think your ideas for the revival of the franchise would sound good! I forget what day the announcement for F-Zero 99 was. Was is the day after you uploaded this? If so, that great timing!

Yeah, I'd been brainstorming with the wife about a video like this, and then when Nintendo announced the direct I knew I had to put it up fast or potentially miss my chance. And I'm glad my revival idea seems to be going over well with people! The N64 my family had came bundled with Star Wars Episode 1 Racer so I spent loads of time with that game as well. I've been thinking about picking up the rerelease on Switch but just haven't got around to it yet.

@FiresideGamingReviews Time is crazy and I'm losing track of it lol Glad you were able to jump on this video like you did! I considered it too. Although we still have the means to play it at my parents' house, I just don't feel like lugging the whole N64 and stuff over here lol

@FiresideGamingReviews I used to always find myself daydreaming of playing a game I haven't been in the mood to play in a long time, but then I'd start it and got bored pretty quickly, sadly lol always kinda afraid that'll happen too, personally. Sometimes, though, I find I have a new found appreciate for the game as I can better comprehend some of it's more nuanced gameplay mechanics! Used to struggle with that game, but came back when I was a bit older and easily understood some stuff I didn't before!

I get ya. Sometimes the mood isn't right even when it feels like it should be. Or the game just doesn't hold up to the nostalgia.
