@@Danechip Then they deliberately allow divided societies. My family is from Pakistan and I was born in the UK myself. In Pakistan they're fairly well off, but not so much in the UK. Anyhow, the only water that you could get there that agrees with our stomachs (busing not someone from there who drinks water from Wells) is either Nestle or Saka (Coca Cola) Nestle and Coca Cola have destroyed several villages and employ child labour just to get water. In the end we bought the Saka stuff because it's the lesser evil. Most annoyingly, most extended relatives saw absolutely no issue with what Nestle and Coke are doing because it doesn't affect them, and child labour is quite "normal". Part of it has got to do with corrupt government officials allowing these companies to just bulldoze villages because they've had kickbacks but part of it is pure greed from billionaires. Propaganda helps too, especially if it means people think that their status will somehow be at risk.

With regards to copying Merton in on the email, one thing you could do is copy in ALL your various scambaiting emails, and respond pretending to be a scammer. Can we acknowledge that these scammers are better at replying to a single person then replying all. People who communicate honestly over email all the time can’t seem to remember not to click “reply all” every time they receive a group email, but these scammers seemed to remember to do this effortlessly

"...to avoid wrong delivery such as okay." "...receive your package in the next $24 hours." "...contact the not him." I think I would enjoy reading a book written by scammers. It would be so mind-meltingly bonkers. I loved that you not only negotiated the scammer down to $6.50 but then said you sent it to the FBI scammer for verification. Priceless.

The Quest for the Holy Grail reference was an interesting choice. Did you really think anyone would pick up on something so obscure? I doubt a single person even remembers that film, never mind the fact you'd have to see through your having completely changed the wordage and context to notice it. You'd have to be some kind of weirdo to realize that slide was a reference, really.

Something you should try: dismiss the scammer. Get them on the hook for a while, and then when they get frustrated or demand a payment, just say you have better things to do and dismiss them. (Bonus points if they have recently threatened to not give you the money). I've tried this, and it's hilarious when usually they come crawling back in a few days.
