I wish I had your calmness when witnessing your dog get corrected. My heart always goes involuntary when I hear dogs go at it with each other due to previous experiences that went wrong.
@wissy00628 күн бұрын
I am no expert but when I see that my dog is fine and that the correction was made rightfully then I try to let him learn. At the end, it will be better for both, you and your dog!😄

@wissy0062 I totally agree. No human can teach a dog more effectively than another dog can. Taking my dog to an emergency vet whilst covered in blood and yelping in pain is quite a traumatic experience which is why I get anxious whenever I hear a dog correcting another dog. I hope no-one ever had to go through that.
@wissy00628 күн бұрын
@@bifkinuk I am so sorry you had to go through that and hope that your dog recovered. 💚💚 I would recommend paying close attention to the other dog and if you see that it was just a minor correction let it slide.

@wissy0062 thanks and yeah she's doing great now. Dogs are absolute troopers and quick to get over stuff. It's me that needs to move on. I wish I could just live in the moment like my dog does.

You are doing the community a service by showing dog behavior very honestly. Showing your mistakes is very impressive. You do excellent work.

I love how the other husky was "talking" to the one guarding almost as if to say "what nonsense is this?" Huskies are such fluffy drama queens 😂

I have a husky, she is very aggressive and territorial with her stuff. Huskies aren’t really the best dog breeds to give treats or food around other dogs.
@HuskyGoraidh8 күн бұрын
True, but it's also a really bad idea to randomly give a treat to a strange dog that is not yours. I don't know why anyone would come up with this idea, not just in a dog park but anywhere else.. At least it was regretted here
@foxdl56 күн бұрын
Not all huskies are like that. Mine shares his toys, treats and bed but he draws the line with his food plate. Just a couple of days ago my sister’s GSD stayed with us for a couple of days and she tried to go for my husky’s food and boy that was a bad idea, they fought and he ended up with a bruised paw but no major injuries. She did backed off at the end, and he was able to eat in peace so hopefully this won’t happen again

I used to have a jealous and dominant Malamute/GSDX that would try to attack other dogs and would never forgive them if she saw you feed them treats. But I also never brought her to dog parks.

Malinoi’s are so agile. Love it. Don’t want one lol my pits and pressa’s are enough energy for me but I highly respect the breed. When I see one behind a fence, I chuckle lol

You can give treats at the dog park, but only to your dogs.
@coolshield81975 күн бұрын
No you shouldn’t have dog treats at dogs parks, cus either your dog gets protective of it or another dog could smell it or see it and try to attack your dog to get the treat
@laurad2585 күн бұрын
@@coolshield8197 My dog is trained not to get agressive over something, and if your dog gets agressive because another dog get treats in front of him, you shouldnt not bring your dog at the dog park until its fixed. Nobody can stop me from giving my dog treats when ever i want.
@ashawnakleiber92684 күн бұрын
@@laurad258there not saying you can’t, just it would be safer if you don’t, and just because your dog is “trained” doesn’t mean there gonna be aggressive. Any dog can be aggressive

It’s not your fault, an owner should teach their pet not to do that, it is one of their responsibilities as an owner. And the owner should have called the husky the first time it nipped at the puppy.
