This makes a difference! I just cleared the PRAM on my ancient 2011 Mac Mini. The old thing "found" its 2nd physical hard drive again as a result. One of the weirdest things my Apple has ever done...

just remove the cr2032 battery for a couple mins. then re-insert. best way in my opinion.

If you've got Windows 11, you'll have to make sure that TPM and SecureBoot are set before you install it or boot to it.
