hello mr britec. firstly do you offer consulting to end users about their computer/it requirements, also i would like to know whether these programs that you often suggest to put on a flash drive in portable format, can they all go on one drive ,assuming the capacity is big enough or do they need to be mounted separately, i am speaking specifically of those programs where there is also an installable version, so obviously this would not apply to something like tails. thirdly do you have a patreon donation system?

Hi, looking for software to catalog all my movies on my hard drive. I did download EMDB, but I'm getting an "Unable to write configuration file C:\User\????\Documents\EMD\emdb.cfg" error on startup.

There was a program I think for Win7 that you could display information about CPU,RAM and other things and it would appear on your desktop. Do you remember that one or one like it now? Thanks

Brilliant! Thanks Brian! I will try a number of these. I just too much time only last week slogging through google trying out other programs that didn't work well and put additional unwanted programs on my machine. Very valuable indeed!

Can anyone suggest a free to use fan controller other than Speed Fan or Gigabytes SIV as neither seem to work on my system despite multiple tries , uninstalls etc .

Hi Britec have a question: We are having same issue on OneDrive with multiple users after each windows 10 update it stops sync. The troubleshooting below solve this temporarily until the next windows update take place: Navigate to: Hkey_local_machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\OneDrive Delete the entry for “DisableFileSyncNGSC” OR Change the 1 to a 0 What do you think may cause value to change in Regedit? It doesn't happen with every user but with quite many in our organization. Tried to re-install OneDrive and version is up to date.

I'm using 8 out of the 10 programs here today. I downloaded OCCT to give it a spin but I don't need Fanspeed. All 9 of my fans are controlled by an external controller. One program I used everyday that I've not seen here is Glary Utilities, made by the same company that makes Malware Hunter.

Hope you have a good amount of Vdroop on that all core if not look into how to find your chips FIT limit. 7nm is alot lower then most people think compared to the last 14nm and 12nm parts.

I always use msi afterburner to set my gpu fan curves, and to display info on screen with the bundled in riva tuner, love it.

I found speccy to be reliable and fast. I have the full suite. I was not too happy with Audacity. Too many ads but haven't looked at in a long time

You have fans running off motherboard? if they are powered by sata or molex. you can't control them.

@@Britec09 yes all my fans run off of the MB and are controlled by Gigabyte smartfan5, but none are sata or molex, just MB. I never knew that about speedfan, thanks

Speccy is very good and easy to understand. Also lets you know the current temperature on each drive and ram...ect. Very nice. Been using it for years for free then went ahead and bought the whole suite after a few years of getting it free.
