A British nurse, Lucy Letby, has been found guilty of murdering seven babies at a hospital neonatal unit, making her the UK's most prolific child serial killer of modern times.
The 33-year-old was also convicted of trying to kill six other infants at the Countess of Chester Hospital in England between June 2015 and June 2016.
Letby injected babies with air, force fed others milk and poisoned two of the infants with insulin.
The nurse continued to work at the neonatal unit despite repeated concerns reported to managers by senior doctors at the hospital.
The UK government has announced a public inquiry into the deaths.
Reeta Chakrabarti presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Judith Moritz and Michael Buchanan.

This is why when my wife delivered my babies, I was there and they didn't leave my arms. Nurses would come in saying they needed to take the baby to do X ... I took the baby to do X. The nurses were very understanding. Even proud of me saying they wished more fathers were like me. My babies were not being switched, stolen, nor murdered. Your wife did her job. You take it from there. Be a father.

I work as a registrar in a hospital in Australia. And in my experience with hospital management, it scares me to say I am not surprised at all about the consultants being ignored. This is obviously an extreme case of evil, but underlying it is a system that is allowing management and bureaucracy to take over specialist advice/concerns. My heart goes out to all the families ❤

Absolutely! I'm an MD in North America, and it is the same here. 1. all hospital admins are heartless bureaucrats, i didn't start out believing this but it has proved to be the case many times over. 2. Nurses are UNIONIZED. Why doesn't anyone mention this? Even the hospital admins would have trouble re assigning or sanctioning a nurse without proof. Bc their unions are powerful. Whereas we, the doctors, are defenseless against them all. Our associations are only there to sanction us, and whatever respective "protective" association there is, is only there in case a patient complains, NEVER to defend us against a hospital.

@@eddielomaxableWhat are you saying? The doctors working with her did raise concerns - they went repeatedly to the managing director and asked that she was taken off the neonatal unit and that there was a criminal investigation. When this was refused by the managers they even asked for her not to be allowed alone with the babies, that CCTV is installed and another nurse always observes her. They had meetings with the directors for a whole year about this! This isn't on the doctors, this is 100% the director's fault. ITV interviewed Dr Ravi Jayaram, one of the doctors involved, in depth - Paul Brand posted the videos on his Twitter. You should have a look.

Evil is in the word and it's running rampant throughout the world. If you watch The "Sound of Freedom" It's there ....If you watch "Nefarious" The demon is telling you what he has been doing for years and years in the government, religion, secular media, music, art, classrooms, child care. The demons been doing it by increments. And, he's using his useful idiots who like he says "most of you today end up in my master's kingdom" You do morally wicked things every day, and you don't even know when you're doing it! His line is "do what thou wilt" and that's what the world is doing, whatever it feels like, However it feels like! The world needs to wake up! We've been warned in books, newspapers, not by the media, but, by two of the best movies, and I'm in my 70s, I've ever watched the "Sound of Freedom" and "Nefarious." It looks like a plain old scary movie, but it has more to say. If you're listening, it is what most highly rated theologians call this movie a Theological masterpiec.. the devil is real and he wants to kill us! In the sound of freedom, he wants our children and hes coming for them. The world needs to wake up and see what's going on around them. Protect yourself, your friends, your family lead a quiet life pray.

Apart from that, CCTV should be used for other purposes - sociopaths are among schoolkids, too. Bullying, destruction of the entire students' groups, perpetrated by one, or a few individuals - these are also signs of potential sick minds which must be isolated and examined as soon as possible. The assumption that Letby became detached from empathy, just recently, is rather false. She's been undiagnosed/misdiagnosed/ignored her entire life. Now, her case is only as relevant, as our ability to spot other individuals like herself, preferably, when they are still young. Parents make them this way, or pretend their children are so perfect, they can't be affected by any mental dysfunctions. Just speak to teachers, and you will soon find out that parents can be even more problematic than their kids. PS. Teachers aren't without a blame, as well. Favouritism allows some to behave in a manner, others cannot. And that's a dangerous path to follow.

I am so grateful for how good of a job they did and find it unbelievably disturbing that a neonatal nurse would do this. I think the jury made the right call. The evidence is very strong that it was her, but I can't begin to rationalize what her motive could have possibly been. It takes a special kind of fiend to kill other people repeatedly or compulsively, much less the kind of horrible monster that kills babies. She was very sloppy, and eventually she sucked in air through the hole in my arm, trying to apparently suck up the blood. either she had no idea how to do it or was doing it on purpose. knowing air can go into your veins and cause an embolism, i was scared and kept telling her to stop. eventually she did and said "im not gonna keep torturing you, we can try later" but no one ever tried to draw my blood again, meaning it wasnt necessary.....I dont remember her name because i was barely conscious since being admitted from my emergency. She has murdered people's children and stolen their futures from them. Their lives are forever changed because of her...why didn't the courts force her to sit there and listen to her horrific crimes and their effects? This is something that I think is a grievous injustice by the court system. Also, everyone involved who refused to take action should be charged for essentially protecting a serial killer...cause that's what they did..they took the side of a criminal instead of taking action against that creature!

You never hear about the countless nurses who perform their thankless job brilliantly every day across the world...only the nuts. Charles Edmund Cullen killed hundreds before he was finally caught after being moved around from hospital to hospital to avoid a lawsuit by Corporate Health. At least Great Britain nipped this psycho in the bud before she went on her (true) killing spree.

Christianity began as sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic. He is just a personification of the sun, made into a god figure later on. The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin" The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind" The sun is "The light of the World" The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea. "He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays. Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo. The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes. The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected. The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun throug the heavens. Christianity is ancient astrology, it's just fables about the sun. Check out Acharya S aka D.M Murdock for more info. .. .. .. .... .....
