As someone originally from San Diego, my family refuses to be fans of any LA team. We became fans of the Seattle Seahawks since we have lived in Seattle for most of my life at this point. My dad despises the Chargers ownership and refuses to give them anything more than he already did

I’m sorry you guys lost your team. As a Chiefs fan, in Tucson, we used to go over every year for the Chiefs/Chargers game. San Diego is such a great city & it was always fun to visit. We stopped going after the move. Never really wanted to visit LA for a game. The San Diego fans were far better than the LA version. Don’t know why they couldn’t just have the Rams. Stupid Spanos😞

Wanna know how devoted Green Bay is to the Packers? There is a video with a guy interviewing the very few residents who live in Green Bay but hate the Packers. One guy interviewed says that when his daughter was born at the hospital in Green Bay, he found out that even the knit caps that the babies in the maternity ward at the hospital wear are Green and Gold. (And that’s just one example of how deep it goes)

Us washington fans are not unloyal. the ownership got to a point where ppl boycotted the team. i consider that loyalty. we have one of the biggest authentic fanbases in the nfl

Been a Browns fan my whole life and can confidently say that we have the most loyal fanbase in the NFL and possibly all of american sports. Even when we went 0-16 back in 2017, that stadium was still packed to the very top. We just love our Brownies lol.

Also when you have sunny cities, they don't sell out when the team isn't good because of opportunity costs. An economic term meaning people have other things they can spend their money on because the weather in Florida is nice in Nov-Dec, what most people consider perfect. While other Northern cities are struggling with snow, Miami, TB and Jacksonville are playing in temps hovering around 65 F. so you can go sailing, swimming, nature walks and the like instead of sitting at a game unless you are a die hard fan.

After the US Navy began flying jet aircraft, deafening engine noise threatened permanent hearing loss to aircrew. The Navy issued aviators hard-shell H-1 flight helmets and they soon began decorating the helmets, and the most famous decoration was a lightning bolt crossing from the back to the front of the helmet. San Diego is the Navy’s main West Coast base and the identical decoration found its way onto football helmets as the logo of the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League in the 60s (before the AFL merged with the NFL late in the decade). It’s unclear if the team’s owners in 1960 chose the name as a reference to horses or naval electronics, but the lightning bolt logo appeared first on Navy helmets. Two dozen squadrons had lightning bolt logos: Helicopter Squadron 14 had a golden lightning bolt on a white helmet - identical to the football team’s design. But other candidates for inspiring the football logo include VA-172; the “Blue Bolts” were in active service between 1950-71. Attack Squadron 172 was the first to take the McDonnell F2H-2 Banshee jet into combat, flying from the USS Midway (CVB-41) on 23 Aug 1951 in Korea; the same squadron later flew Douglas A4C Skyhawks from the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CV-42) over Vietnam in 1967. Fighter Squadron 161 was actually nicknamed the “Chargers” and is another prime candidate for inspiring the San Diego Chargers football logo. Their home base was Naval Air Station Miramar, San Diego. Miramar’s own logo displays twin yellow lightning bolts, while VF-161’s logo has red lightning bolts; the “Chargers” deployed to Vietnam nine times between 1966-73, and returned in 1975 to rescue civilians fleeing South Vietnam. But VF-161 counldn't have inspired the football team logo since the squadron was only established in 1960, the same year as the football team. Other squadrons with lightning bolt logos include: VA-42 Green Pawns who later became the Thunderbolts with yellow bolts; VA-144 Road Runners with red bolts on their helmets; VA-176 Thunderbolts with orange lightning bolts; and VA-155 Silver Foxes with yellow bolts. Electronic Attack Squadrons love lightning-bolt logos for the obvious association with electronic warfare. The VAQ-34 Electric Horsemen (aka Garudas, an Asian mythological giant bird), VAQ-133 Wizards, VAQ-142 Grim Watchdogs, and VAW-308 Griffins all sport yellow bolts. VAQ-143 Cobras had silver bolts and VAQ-208 Jockeys had red bolts. Patrol squadrons also engage in electronic surveillance, and VP-11 Proud Pegasus had silver bolts, VP-17 White Lightnings and VP-19 Big Red had yellow bolts, VP-49 Woodpeckers had silver bolts, though the VP-31 Black Lightning had no bolts on their official logo, despite their squadron’s name. Pilots customize their helmets, adding their name, nickname, call sign, symbols or mottos from home, or a favorite witticism - and anyone can paint a lightning bolt on their helmet, especially after the logo became the Navy’s most popular decoration.

Fun Fact: The Glazers also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (which has one of the "worst fanbases" listed in this video). Thus it wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to say that the Glazers paid Tom Brady via funds stolen from Manchester United's coffers! LOL

7:00.... funny episode as the Simpson's pocal minor league baseball team, the Springfield Isotopes were scheduled to relocate to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Which they didn't. In real life, the Calgary Cannons moved to Albuquerque. They had a "team-naming" contest. "Isotopes" won because it refrenced that episode! So, they're the Albuquerque Isotopes, and they're a Triple A (highest of MLB's feeder system) of the Colorado Rockies.

You can't really say that the Chiefs have bad fans. Of course there are more bandwagon fans that have joined in recent years, but the fanbase is actually a really good one. Historically, the Chiefs have been blessed with amazing owners. The original owner was Lamar Hunt and he is credited as being the man who coined the term "Super Bowl". The AFC Championship Game trophy is also named after him. Lamar Hunt then passed the ownership on to his son Clark once he died and the family is generally considered to be well liked. Also Kansas City has the world record for loudest crowd noise at 142.2 decibels. That record was set in 2013, four years before Patrick Mahomes showed up. You don't just set records like that without having great fans.

Yeah but in 1986 after not having a shot at the post season in 15 years to guarantee a sellout and make sure the game was televised Western Auto bought up the remaining tickets and gave them to anyone that purchased 8 spark plugs. There were some bad years in the 70s and 80s so I can see why they aren’t at the top with the likes of Green Bay, Denver and Cleveland.

I'm a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, and I HATE the Packers. Each NFL Sunday, I root for the Lions, and whoever's playing the Pack. Near the end of the current regular season, a Packers win would have helped the Lions' playoff seeding, but I still couldn't bring myself to root for them. That said, as far as the Packer fan base... I respect them. They don't just cheer for their team. They KNOW football. They LOVE football. I've lived in six different NFL cities around the US, and always shook my head when the scoreboard had to instruct fans when to make noise, and when to be quiet. GB fans already know. On a different subject, I'm 2:00 in as I write this. If Detroit isn't near the top, this is an old video. The NFL is shaking it's collective heads over the Lions' fans this past season. They've ranked in the top three decibel level all time at home, and have taken over cities and stadiums in a sea of Honolulu Blue at away games, now that the Ford family have given us something to be proud of. (Yes... THAT Ford family.)

I've been a Chiefs fan since around 1990. I think Chiefs fans are loyal but picked up a bunch of bandwagoneers too of course. If I'm being objective, I'd say Packers/Browns/Steelers fans are all basically tied for first. Worst fans Cowboys.

The Chiefs have the best fans and a probably a lot of haters now, but always near the top in attendance and crowd noise. Pretty strange they aren't on the list, probably recency bias since they're good now and have a lot of bandwagon fans, but when I was a kid, they were terrible and had been average for years. Trent Green was QB when I started watching the Chiefs, who was decent at best but never won a playoff game. In fact, I didn't see the Chiefs win a playoff game until the 2015 season with Alex Smith. People forget that before Patrick Mahomes the Chiefs hadn't won a SB since 1970, but even before Pat, Arrowhead was breaking crowd noise records with amazing attendance of mostly Chiefs fans. I'd honestly put them over Steelers fans. They have lots of bandwagon fans and have for as long as I've been watching football. They also literally haven't had a losing season in more than 2 decades (2003 was the last one), so hard to say their fans are loyal since it really hasn't been tested recently at least (they also literally have double the SB wins as the Chiefs). I can also say there's probably an argument for the Seahawks to be on this list as well, but I guess only naming 5 is pretty restrictive since I agree with most of the list.

The Bucs were losers for most of their history. They started in 1976, they lost all their games and got shutout 5 times. In 1977 they finaly won their first game after losing the first 26 games of their existence. They got shutout 6 times that year, including 2 back to back shutouts. The 2nd longest losing streak in NFL history only the Cardinals did worse at 29 losses in a row. Tampa Bay also has the worst lifetime winning percentage in the NFL. Check out some quotes from Bucs coach John McKay. One example is: Reporter: "what do your think of your team's execution" McKay: "I'm in favor of it". They won their first game by beating the Saints who had been in the NFL since 1967 but hadn't yet had a winning season at that point in their history. Bucs would get their first winning season in 1979 and win their first playoff game against the Eagles 24-17. The Saints wouldn't have a winning season until 1987, they got smoked by the Vikings in their first playoff game

Quick rant on US sport franchises being able to move the teams out of one city to another city (all for different reasons, none of which is due to lack of fans): Everyone, including LA natives, knew that moving the Rams and Chargers to Inglewood would be a massive fail! I was actually in LA visiting family during the Rams Super Bowl (SB was even in LA)and no one gave a shit. LA is a HUGE baseball (Dodgers) then basketball (Lakers) city but greedy owners got their way and were able to move. Also, Eagles weren’t on this list because most fans hate Philly sports fans, of any sport. 🤦‍♀️
