There's footage of him at rehearsal for this performance and he was just as good then. Sometimes he holds back at rehearsal but as he already had quite an audience building even for the rehearsal he just let rip and was beautifully mannered to all the people coming on stage for photos and autographs.

That's because the rehearsal was playback, not live. The song, including his voice is playing while he's fiddling with his in-ear and not even holding a mic. I consider him the best vocalist of all times, and think that many, many years will pass until there will be one like him, if at all. All this doesn't negate the fact that he lipsyncs sometimes, and this seems to me was one of those times. Maybe one day you'll understand that not everyone who says something negative about Dimash is a "troll"....because that's really an immature way to respond. This is the first time Igor had heard Dimash. Igor's mother is from Ukraine and his father was a Russian Jew. Though Igor has built mansions for his wife, family and his mother in south Florida, his mother often returns to Ukraine and Russia and had heard Dimas on a couple of occasions. Igor had been retired for 25 years and was restless with life. He had the wealth, (13 billion) but his creative energies needed to go back to work. His mother told him about Dimash and he went to Russia to hear him in this performance. Almost immediately, he was meeting with Dimash and Kanat (father of Dimash) to offer them his services. This Jewish man and the Muslim young man have spent the years since then making some great music together. They are THE music combo to contend with.

More precisely, Igor got in contact a few months later (there`s an interview that they gave together where they stated that). And Igor had never retired, he was looking for inspiration (when it comes to composing something for younger singers). The 'coming out of retirement' is a little incremental exaggeration that got a life of it`s own :) He still composed, and still does, for other singers even today. What he did do, is make Dimash a top priority in his work - this he said in 2019. At the rate things are going now, (especially after TSOOS and El amor en ti) I`m inclined to say that Dimash is soon going to do pretty much everything himself 😋😁

Beautiful Dimash performances at all the New Wave competitions in Sochi Russia where he was a guest invited by Igor Krutoy who is one of the main sponsors of the event each year. Event was canceled in 2022 for obvious reasons. I am hoping Igor moves the competition to a different country such as perhaps Dubai, EMI this year. It is an international competition after all. Note that the released single of this song is this live version with the audience fan yelling and applause (for those people who keep insisting it is playback because it's so perfect). I believe I read somewhere that it was after seeing this performance by Dimash that Igor, who was already a very famous Russian composer, was so impressed that he decided to come out of retirement and start writing and performing with Dimash. Many if not all of the songs that you have seen, or will hopefully see, where Igor is playing the piano are Igor's songs adapted and arranged specially for Dimash. Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏
