This is how game companies should do it. Make a game people enjoy, and prioritize player enjoyment over profits. When they make a mistake or unpopular change, they either list VALID reasons for the change or actually fess up to making a mistake and revert it.

Only gripes I have with Arrowhead is the huge lulls in content, their past fumbles with balancing (before the employee shakeup), numerous baffling design decisions on released content (DSS is a shame) and their community managment team actively aggravating their players on Reddit. A lot of these issues are in the past, especially since a bunch of there studio switched positions or took back seats after mucking it up. Although we'll see going forward if they can keep up their current good standing after the new toy factor of the illuminate wears off.

And they continue to make the game better for everyone while also showing just how much they themselves love the game. Yes the DSS was a fumble, but it was a good idea in concept that needed to be fleshed out just a bit more

@@kelmirosue3251 Even with the DSS issues, I am not too concerned since it should be relatively easy to fix. I think of certain developers like 343 Incompetencies who intentionally chose to make the art style, sound design, and lore intentionally terrible, unable to add basic features, and prioritize monetization over all else, then mock fans for being pissed. Helldivers 2 has phenomenal foundations and Arrowhead Studios clearly respects their fans which is why people stick around.
