I definitely look up to you in the way you are so open and do not seem to care much about what people think of you. I care way too much about what people think of me and hearing you talk about your issues with being insecure makes me think more about my insecurities and how pathetic they are. I've definitely grown to care much less now. So thank you. :)

As gay men we have had so many painfully vulnerable moments in our lives that we can armor up in way that keeps our hearts buried. Thank you for stepping into the light with your vulnerability and sharing it with the rest of us. It's that kind of grace that will help to soften and heal our collective heart and allow us to share our unique gifts with a world that needs us more than we know.

Hi Kyle! Thanks so much for this video. I have been effeminate most of my life and have constantly been made to feel insecure about not being masculine or hard enough by people within and outside of the gay community. I appreciate and love the video and your ablility to share.

I just have to say... The thing i love the most about you Kyle is someone like you (who i see as so beautiful the outside and in) can have the same insecurities that i have. Its so hard to understand someone else insecurities when you don't see them. we can be so hard on ourselves and beat ourselves up for nothing because the things that we thing people are going to judge us for, they don't even see! So thank you for being such an inspiration. love love love you!

Kyle I love your voice! I understand that you feel might feel insecure since its not like Incredibly deep or anything, but I love it because its so full of energy. When you're telling a story you have such a range of intonations that it makes it exciting. Plus, whenever you are having a heart to heart with someone else or just us, the viewers, there is a lot of care and feeling that comes through. You should check out "Do I sound Gay?" I don't think it deals exactly with the insecurities you have, but it shows a rich history of gay men and their voices and ends on a positive and affirming note.

Such a fan of your videos Kyle. I too often have felt shame from being too feminine or for my "valley girlish" voice lol. On most occasions I can put up a front that I'm strong and no longer in fear of those things. But often when I'm alone without the security of a friend I find my old high school self come out who once lived in fear and shame. I was bullied for these things relentlessly in school and to this day still can suffer from people's judgments of me. So strange how even at 24 you can still tap into that scared teenager you once were. BUT Thank you for always encouraging people to be who they are and not be ashamed of silly things. It really is a very nice reminder to us who sometimes forget. After all my voice is my voice and I should never feel ashamed of it. Perhaps it doesn't fall into this "masc" category that society can sometimes pressure me to fit into but I should be proud of it. I think your speaking voice has most resonated with me from you videos because mine is quite similar. If I've learned anything from you its that shouldn't let fear of the way my voice sounds keep me from expressing positivity and light. AND it's sooo crazy to think you may have not even started this channel because of fear of what people might say about the way your voice sounds. Yet here I am every week smiling at my phone when I hear that intro (with that wonderful lisp) "hey guys Kyle Kreiger here" :) lol. So thank you for not letting fear hold you back because I so look forward to hearing what you have to say. I think you are a wonderful inspiration to anyone hiding behind shame and a big success story as to why we shouldn't. Love your channel and positive energy. That's all. Had no idea I was going to write this much. Yikes lol.

I kinda have the same problem that Kyle used to have, except that I'm an extremely masculine girl. I watch sports, play video games, and dress like a boy so much that people often mistake me for a boy. Recently I've been trying to change the way that I act/dress etc. because I've felt so self conscious about my appearance and the way I act. This video made me realize that as long as I'm myself, I should be happy, and I shouldn't have to change who I am based off of what other people think. You guys truly are inspirational and I love you so much ❤️

I love watching your videos and this one is quite interesting. Yes, the discussion about masc vs. fem is very controversial, however what stands out to me that two extremely handsome guys like you also have their insecurities. Thanks for sharing your feelings!

You both seem so beautiful and confident and sure of who you are. I wish I'd had that in my 20s and early 30s. It was a gradual process for me, but turning 50 was definitely a milestone in feeling entitled to show the world who I am. To those around me there might not have even been a perceptible change--I've always been outwardly pretty brave and acknowledged how effeminate I was--but the inward change was tremendous. I hope guys of your generation don't have to wait so long.

I really needed this video and appreciate all of it in its entirety, because I've always been shy because of my voice. Naturally I'm high pitched especially when I'm nervous , and my family has always talked about it and talking on the phone I get called mam' pretty much all the time. But, I don't think I am as flamboyant as to call myself a fem. But, I feel that here anyway is what I have been labeled. But, people don't tale enough time to know me anyway or make me feel comfortable enough that my voice shifts to being really high to a decent decibel level and I can have a pretty low voice to (I think I just have a large range to sing with and that because I've been such a quiet person and haven't had voice lessons that high pitch is natural) but for me I've felt like less of a boy. I dunno I really connected with this video so...thank you.

I feel like this conversation is SUPER important. Are black folk practicing self-racism when they portray themselves as Anglo as possible? Are gays homophobic when shaming each other or themselves into a certain masculine model? I loathe the hangup on social constructs Even trans folk who only work to "pass?" Maybe as a culture we are a little more sophisticated than that now. Some of us?
