Shout to the random, unnamed Briggs soldier who straight up shot Father in the head with no warning whatsoever. But honestly, I love that the final battle has not only our main characters and side characters fighting the Big Bad, but also random, ordinary soldiers. Everyone's contributions mattered, from a single bullet to sacrificing themselves to save their brother.

It's not that Ed is a stone, it's that every human being is practically a stone. Remember when Ed was fatally wounded, and he said he's gonna use his own soul's energy to heal himself, but it's probably gonna cut down on his lifetime? "remember ed, you're a philosopher stone powered by a single soul" so that's what "Father" wanted, he wanted Ed's soul, because souls to him are just mere energy, he wanted everyone's soul, because he lost all the souls he acquired and can no longer control the "god" power he got during the eclipse. If you notice during last episode, when he went out and killed a bunch of soldiers, he created a tiny small philosopher stone powered by a couple of souls.
@InanisNihil2 жыл бұрын
tbf he only killed and yoink 3 souls from 3 soldier when he first flew up to the surface.. he was still 49,999,997 mil behind what he lost.. 😂 he got along way to go..
@fopipilop2 жыл бұрын
@@InanisNihil Yeah. But if you remember Kimblee's stone, that was made from about 10 people, and it was capable of causing explosions the size of multiple city blocks. So Even 1/3 of that is incredibly powerful, especially in the hands of a master alchemist like Father.

This is probably your hypest reaction! Both of you always wanted Ed to do more as the MC - and what better way than the entire cast of this show cheering on Fullmetal to stomp the living shit out of a god?

Years have passed but FMAB is still among my top three anime just because of the philosophies and how well written it is. The ironies and paradoxes of the characters are insane. It a fantasy that really tackles our life and shit. Love it and never tired of rewatching it

FMAB is truly a masterpiece and watching your reactions to this series is the evidence. You have by far the best reactions to this show. Thank you guys! Btw I think the soundtrack you love from the scene where everyone attacks Father and when Ed defeats Selim is called "The intrepid" I just leave the name there if you want to look for it. It is one of the best melodies of this show! 👌

I know you had to because there is SO MUCH in this Episode, but I'm really sad you cut out Hohenheim;s monologue to Father after he saves the random soldiers. "You may think you've reached a perfect state of being, but in Truth, all you've reached is a dead-end! Creation is All... and you've done nothing but destroy!" It's one of my favorite Hohenheim quotes, totally calling Father out on his BS. Also, regarding Greed. Remember OG Greed, pre-Ling days, back in Dublith? In the basement of the Devil's Nest? What were his first words to Al? "I'm Greed, and I wanna be your friend." If you ever re-watch the series, you'll be amazed at the all the tiny little moments that end up being subtle foreshadowing for events that happen 20, 30, even 40 episodes later. Ariwaka is a Goddess.

It's not that Ed is a stone. The father just sees anyone with a soul as a stone...just energy to be used so that's why he said "give me your stone". Ed has however discovered how to transmute his soul and use it as a philosopher stone. He used it that time when he was injured and had a piece of steel in his gut. He told the chimera guys that he would use a piece of his soul to close the wound. It probably shortens his life so it's a last resort kinda thing.

@doubleasworkshop16922 жыл бұрын
The narrative value in the next episode is over the roof. It's unreal that the final blow for father isn't Ed punching a hole in Father but the philosophical blow he deals by understanding Truth. exceptional writing

And/or a family. As Hohemheim asked him before, "Why create the Homunculi? Treat them as your children? Have them call you Father?" For all his talk of becoming "perfect" and purging himself of his Deadly Sins, he clearly still desires companionship and yearns for adulation.

After FMA:Brotherhood you guys can watch D-Gray Man. D-Gray Man, Deathnote and FMA are like god-tier shounen animes back then in 2000s other than mainstream ones like Naruto and One Piece. Personally I like D-Gray Man more than FMA just a little.
