Chickpea dessert: in Vitamix 2 bananas, 1-2 tbsp cacao powder, splash of vanilla & maple syrup, small quantity of rolled oats or flour (I'm guessing ~ 1/4 cup), 2 cups cooked chickpeas & splash of plant milk. Savoury Chickpea patties: in food processor chickpeas, garlic & onion powder, smoked paprika, Salt & pepper process (this is the base). Shape into nuggets & roll in rice flour. Place on a baking sheet covered with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Bake for ~ 30ish minutes flipping halfway, cook until done...I'm guessing @ 350F/180C

I agree!! Your kids aren't going to remember how clean your house is. The memories they will cherish is the time and l9ve that you share with them. When you cook every meal you end up with a lot of dishes!! Just saying. Hi from Canada.

Broccoli mom, you popped into my feed and I’m delighted. I’m newly whole food plant based after 33 years of eating vegetarian; (I just turned 70 years in March) I’ve been nuts about England and anything English since 1963 when the Beatles took over my little 9 year old life, so you check 2 critical boxes right there. To top it all off, your delivery and delightful acceptance of the day to day reality of living with small children is like a breath of fresh air. Next time I’m in the UK, I will invite you out for a cup of tea or whatever!

Ami, I LOVED your commentary on your experience in the States! Was so curious how you would find things in comparison! Also, no apologies for not posting for a “a long time”! You were on holiday with family - the fact that you 1) posted reels while you were gone AND 2) posted this video the same exact day as the footage and that it was the day after you arrived home and the whole family was jet lag is a massive feat in and of itself! You are such a queen!

Hi Ami! I am happy to hear you had a good time here in the US! Did you bring home a lot of goodies that you don't find in the UK? Also I just want to say I appreciate your honesty and authenticity about every day life stuff! I have over 20 years of experience as a nanny/ house keeper and now professional organizer and I understand the struggle. It is hard trying to juggle everything. If you accept my humble advice I'd like to give you a suggestion... if you are really bothered by the way your home looks but want to spend your time on other things you have the option of hiring a cleaning company to do a deep clean for you and a professional organizer can organize your home in a customized way that works for you and your family. That way you don't have to do it yourself, you get your house looking the way you want it to look and all you have to do is maintain it afterwards! Maintenance is a lot easier and it won't take you too much time 😉. I hope these tips can help 🤗

We love the cosmic apples. We buy 2 bags when we go to Sam's club or Walmart. They ate so sweet, crisp, and delicious. I let them soak in water and a couple of tablespoons of baking soda for 15 min. Before i wash them and dry them. This gets rid of most pesticides a d wax used by farmers. Love your videos. Thanks. Peace and love to you and the family.

Great video! So happy to see you again! As someone who lives in Connecticut full time, I can attest to the sky high prices of food here. I'm a family of 1, and I find it difficult to get groceries for less than $100.00 a week, especially if I want to eat loads of produce. Next time, try to find an Aldi--there are not as many options to choose from, but it's significantly less expensive. I hope you had a fantastic time on your trip!

Hi from the UK! 🇬🇧 👋 I second what you've said! 👍 And I also agree with Ami's mum. My dear, departed mum in law used to say "It'll be there tomorrow" about not tending to chores, as she was always procrastinating over her chores (or lack thereof!). As I've just crept into my 50s and perimenopause, I feel exactly the same way and see her words as a bit of a mantra these days. Life is too short to be forever cleaning. I understand where people have to clean constantly, because otherwise it accelerates their anxiety etc...and I used to feel like that...but I don't anymore. X

I’m in the US and can vouch for the apples. 🙂 Your grocery order looks beautiful and bountiful! The plastic bins they arrived in caught my attention - do you order through a co-op or a big grocery chain? I wish the stores near me that offer online ordering would use those instead of paper and plastic bags.

We have all sorts of different sizes of apples in the states. Things are bit more expensive here because of inflation. I heard also something about the climate is affecting our growing areas. My hubby and I both have ADHD. We will have timers going when we are cooking, otherwise we forget about it. We have an Amazon Alexa device we also have our phones. Our microwave and stove have timers too. It might take you a couple of weeks to get back in to your routine, just give your body time and you will be back to normal soon
