Percy pork pies are lovely from jump. I like the butcher's shop in wombwell too. Been to elsecar few times colliery brass bands play there it's awesome. Worth a visit. My top favourite pork pie is at pately bridge. 😂

Today morning I went to Elmhurst. It is quite busy there. I bought two pasties and one pork pie. Pastries are delicious I ate two in row and I will have to try the pork pie too.

They were awesome, they both were. I reckon the Jump one only pipped it as it was still warm and had the extra jelly in, the Elmhurst was cold by the time I’d filmed and got back home… that’s my excuse anyway !…lol..

I’m from the next village to jump and I’ve grown up eating Percy’s,I prefer the small pies to the big ones and especially when straight out the oven.At christmas they queue right round the corner just for the pies.I’ve had elmhurst before and they’re lovely pies as are rob royd farm shop and speeds at monk bretton.But none of these are as nice as higginsons of grange over sands in Cumbria.Unreal pies,they do sweet chilli pies,Cumberland sausage pies,loads of choice

Yesterday I wanted to go to Elmhurst but was heavy raining. I can go there next weekend. There are lovely views and good places for walk near Darent River and the stables is amazing place. Elsecar also nice place to visit. There was steam railway but it is shut nowadays. There are also nice small shops in the area including old clock repairs. I think you should to research this area more and come back there for another filming.

Yes percy turners pork pies are best, and yes please re visit elsecar heritage a lovely place. The old building you couldn't get to is an old pump what used to pump out water deep underground. Research more when you revisit. Thanks great video. 👍

Aye up Shaun. Percy Turner used to deliver Pork Pies for the residents and staff of a care home I used to manage in Hoyland. A fantastic weekly gesture that was greatly appreciated by all. The pies were that fresh as the jelly had not fully set when they arrived. Ps just recently discovered your channel and have now subscribed
