For both India & Pakistan time was ripe with the Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is from Pakistan & Gen Musharaff the President of Pakistan was from India despite this advantage the Status quo continued because both hated each other & defied the law of International Relations that there are no permanent friends or enemies but Permanant Interest. The 1999 Kargil invasion by Pakistan Army resulted in the India Isreal Milatary cooperation. Pakistan having lost its Milk cow the U S fell to the debt trap of PRC like SriLanka China weaved the Strong of Pearls around India with Navel docking rights at Gawadhar, Hamantota & rail link to Nepal from Chineese Tibet. India realised that China gradually started owning these bases & the real enemy was China. The Naval Alliance with the US + Japan + Australia was formulated to keep China to aggresion to be Contained especially in The South China Seas & Indian Ocean to protect the ASEAN grouping Taiwan + Vietnam + Philippines, The Middle East Muslim kingdoms looked towards the Indian Navy role to protect their Outer perimeter as the Pakistan Ex Army men under Raheel Shareef. Failed to prevent the Iran drone attack of Aramco Operations & lost 2 bases to huti rebels in Yemen. Pakistan today depends on the PLA in Pakistan not only to protect the Chineese Workers but Pakistan itself, Nathan Sekhar Sydney, Australia.

I heard long ago, as a child that the noble kings of ancient Indian (Bharath) didn't invade neighbouring countries, burn, loot, rape and kill, subjugate and exploit like the marauders of the recent times. Our civilization had several centuries to learn from mustakes and evolve a peaceful way of life. Our poorer neighbours are supposed to have either asked to (or agreed to) enter an agreement to become part of the whole empire. The rulers of neighbouring, smaller kingdoms got to continue to rule their land and people and continue with their way of life, i.e. food, clothing, religion, etc. Thats how our emperors are supposed to have expanded their empires to far off lands... The problem is linked to religion. Pakistan is obsessed with India, for no other reason that the fact that it is an Islamic nation. This obsession is ingrained, imbued, oriented, cultivated into the gentry of Pakistan, by association of it's state religion (Islam) which looks at India as unbelievers(kafirs) and needs to be subdued by the might of Islam. So each generation comes out with the same alignment looking at India as the enemy in terms of their faith. The faith is very strong as the country is built on the precept of Islam, so the way they look at the world is through the eyes of Islam. The only way this is going to change is where people of Pakistan stop looking at their state accepted religion (Islam) for their well being. In the 10 years since this interview has been broadcast, there is a movement picking up stream where Ex-Muslims have started raising questions and validations for the Islamic faith and it is gathering stream. This state religion (Islam) is the source of violence, and if this source itself dissipates in influence on the gentry, it will palliate to a large extent these easy pick guineas to foment violence against India.
