I agree with you and would pick the Civic due to it's bigger size, more passenger space, more cargo space, and nicer & more premium interior. Plus, the 2025 Honda Civic Sport comes standard with blind spot monitoring while the 2025 Toyota Corolla LE/SE does not come standard with it. You have to pay an extra 2k for a package. Furthermore, here in Texas, finding a new Corolla LE/SE with the aforementioned package is very very difficult, you have to go out of state to get one. So Civic is an easy win for me!

All those features are already standard here in Canada since 2019. Side note, more features means more expense down the road.

I was looking at a 2017 to 2020 civic or a Corolla hatch. And went with the civic mainly because having that extra space is great for when I camp and go on trips. But I love the look of the Corollas

We shopped them in 2022. Wife wanted the Civic sport touring. 1.5T. it's really nice. She loves it. A few months ago I replaced my car. I got a Camry SE. We are now a bisedaniel family.

Civic chassis way more sportier with much thicker sway bars and firmer springs

Honda Civic has all those things too tho. Plus it's more roomy. Both are very similar overall

I really enjoy your car reviews, and I think you are one of the best car reviewers on KZbin. I recently started working, but I can't afford a car yet, and my place of work is far from where i live. If you can help me out with any car that is affordable to maintain and fuel efficient, it would mean the world to me. I'm from Nigeria, and I hope you see this comment. Thank you!

Glad you like the videos! Should be some good used car dealers you can check out. Civic and Corolla would probably be your best bet for affordability and reliability

The purpose of these cars is reliability, and the Corolla executes that far better.

Both seem pretty good. But Toyota is above Honda currently
@amill15638 күн бұрын
Both of these are close enough in price to a base model Prius or Camry (around 28.5k if I recall) that I would consider those cars instead. Plus mpg would go way up.
@BrosFOURRSpeed8 күн бұрын
Yeah a nice SE Camry even for $32k might be a better choice than these too. I'd at least get the hybrid version to get more power

Take it out of B mode if you want it to not rev like that. The car revs because it’s trying to engine brake as if you are going down hill.
@BrosFOURRSpeed13 сағат бұрын
I don't believe it was in B. In one of my reviews I had it in B for the first 20 seconds. But that was just normal drive from what I remember

The Civic for 2025 has a Atkinson 4 cylinder base engine. No VTEC. The Civic looks better, but the Corolla has port and direct injection. The Civic hybrid is better 200 hp vs 138.
