Watching you take apart the EVO reminds me of taking apart an old school TM-style MP5 - you have to take apart everything to access anything internal. Get the heat gun! It helps with the heat shrink! I had to double take the video as to why you spliced on the perun. I wonder why Perun had only one signal wire, maybe I'm used to Gate providing double signal wires. At least I learned how to splice for an upcoming project. Great job on video!

The 249 spring change seems easy enough! 👍

Find the 249/PKM gearbox very pleasant to work on. Interesting to put the AB++ on the support gun, would be a good alternative to the Basic mosfet.

It's quite a nice box! I'm trying to think back to the reason we got the ab++. I have a feeling it's due to there being a shortage of gate products so we went for the perun board. Gotta say, not disappointed.

The joys of having a motor with neo magnets in an M249. Just out of interest. What are the benefits of the mosfet in that gun compared to just a microswitch rated for high voltage and amperage?

Micro-switches are still switches and even if rated for higher currents will still arc when changing state. Adding the MOSFET is more of a preventative maintenance step, meaning the switch is only ever seeing low current signals and prolonging its life. It also has the added benefit of decreasing the resistance of the electrical path to the motor improving efficiency, trigger response and giving a slight rof boost :)

nice to see a new video. How is the Hi-power? I assume it's from We Tech. Do you have any problems with it?

It looks nice... The valve knocker broke almost instantly on mine and I've yet to get it to work reliably since...
