Poor Ville. Probably heavily jetlagged and he has to put up his A game with all this constant small talk around him. He'll be alright in a day or two, and he wouldn't have flown there if it was unpleasant. Looking beyond the more shallow characteristics, what you got in Finns (usually) is honesty and dependability like no other. Ville seems exactly the kind of guy.
@EspenX

Finnish people are also famous for being quiet, so Ville watching and not talking might not be jetlag, it is sooo typical of people from Finland. They are often the strong, silent type :)

Just too many clowns out there that dont have a life or a really bad one that are jealous. I've been watching for a while and yes judging by the people around him hes for real. Then you get the clowns that claim if something happens to him its staged like when some scumbag vandalized his truck all the trolls came out and reckoned it was staged then still keep watching and waiting for another chance to jump on him. Some people should sort their own lives first. He gets hammered by these trolls on Facebook as well.

Hello Ville from a Swede in Florida. Nice to see Ville again, but I could feel his pain and being polite about the us trucks, they all look cool with chrome stuff and all, good long frames for high speeds and durability for long hauls. But there are 30 years behind the EU trucks, US trucks need to be more fuel efficient and handle 120k pounds at the same time and have a better frame/body engineering. Compare trucks for two different worlds its like compare apples and oranges, I bet he had a blast going on the road trip and see different states on his visit.

I mean US trucks will handle 120k pounds no problem. What kind of fuel mileage do Euro trucks get?

@shaggings

@@AlexKallUS trucks are on average 2.25m wide and EU trucks are 2.5, and the average lane width on EU roads is 2.5m wide and the whole usable part of the road on 2 lane with both lanes is 5.0m
@AlexKall
@AlexKall 4 ай бұрын
@@shaggings Ah, so they are 2,25 that explains why they feel quite a bit narrower, hard to judge on a video though. But 25cm does quite a bit. But is 2,25 the cab or the sleeper cab? Because the sleeper cab looked slightly wider on the inside, or at least gave the impression of being slightly wider.

For sure an exotic and very interesting experience for Ville. As a Swede I do not find Finns to be very quiet but I have some expericence with Finns not talking Swedish during the day. But then in the evening after dinner and some beverages I realised they were all speaking fluent Swedish. I like your videos Bruce, in particular with the comparison to the european trucks. You are good at talking while filming. One little criticism I have is that you move the camera a bit too fast for me.

The finish dude is happy my ex a good woman is a finn. they don't show much emotions I got friends here from there same attitude. I will say the older truck builder with the convertible turbo is different. you'll find one once and a while that will talk your ears off😂 had a great trip i can tell. He got the conventional Bug for sure. And he's right strong young man like him can easily open a hood with one hand. And could tell he likes the clean look ,not a million wires and huge square tanks. He was pumped really was excited seeing so many trucks. hope he can see some Freightliners, KWs, Internationals my favorite 😊

We do have those kind of trailers in Europe. And even bigger ones too. But those type of trailers are for exeptional transport and are used for loads up to 400 tons (metric). But for the loads that the trailer in the video is rated for, we use smaller and shorter trailers for that in Europe.

I've actually seen Peterbilt trucks in Germany on the autobahn back when I was driving trucks for the Army. I'm sure they had as much trouble as I did in some places. The trucks we drove were 915-A2 and later A3s. They were basically freightliners with no sleeper pulling flat beds that were either covered with tarp, left open, or loaded with conex containers. The civilian Petes I saw were hauling standard looking flatbed trailers as well. Also, they have plenty of oversized loads to haul over in Europe as well. I've seen them hauling cranes and other oversized equipment on the autobahn many times. The truck drivers always seemed to be pretty mad at us 915 truck drivers since we had a lower speed limit that is always enforced, even on the autobahn. Our max allowed speed was 80kph which is 50mph. We weren't always able to safely pull to the side and let folks around either, especially depending on what we might sometimes be hauling. To say some of the stuff we hauled was hazardous was well... an understatement at least. But anyway, there are plenty of big trucks with massive loads in Europe. Maybe you should do a little exchange and see the difference. That sounds like a great video. I enjoyed the video. Great work! 👍

I wouldn't be who I am today 40 years later if it wasn't for my Finnish friend in high-school who got me ourside my comfort zone all of the time while saying the least amount of words needed. From building our own mountain bikes out of dumpster parts and riding across states at 15 to learning how to rapell which i still do. He was the crazy guy who locked his bike in the tree tops at high-school where we met. Kimmo, if you see this reach out. He's probably up a tree somewhere while I'm moving trees. I'll never be Finnish crazy but it's fun trying.

I have a CDL, owner of a truck too, what I meant is like I wrote its hard to really compare two different markets, BUT you get a better milage in EU by the actually loaded carried weight, its different getting 7mpg or so with a load of 120k or even 150k pulled by one Scania with 770 hp compared to getting 7mpg or so with 80k load only with a 455hp US truck. United States has a lot to learn. Here we can only load 12k+34k+34 without a permit, its a waste of fuel for everyday trucks.
