This is my favorite Bryan Adams song. You are so right....the 80's were a fun decade. I was so lucky to be in my 20's back then.

Lol I can’t figure out if he is legit when he says he never heard of some artists like this. . Bryan was huge and people know his name. Movies, soundtracks and singles. 80’s was my teen years too. 👍🎸🥁

Bryan Adams is a rare combo of a great, imaginative musician, and _commercial_ to the bone. Like: he knew the music market, and catered to it - but without _whoring_ to it. He was a one-man hit factory. Quality hits.

Bryan Adams is a phenomenal song writer. You should try "Please Forgive Me, Summer of '69, Have You ever Loved a Woman" to start.

Have You ever Loved a Woman is a brilliant song. It _works_ as a pop song, but it was so fresh and different compared to anything else being played at the time.

Written by Bryan Adams 🇨🇦 + Jim Vallance 🇨🇦. Recorded in Little Mountain Sound, Vancouver, Canada. 🇨🇦 A demo of this was sent to late producer Bruce Fairbairn, who was producing Blue Oyster Cult in the other half of the studio. They rejected it. 🙄 Not enough cowbell! L🤣L Jim Vallance has more details in his Website + in past interviews. Listed as a rock song, but this fits country music too! 🤠 1 of 7 hit singles from the bestselling album Reckless, 1984. In the past, BA quit BA on rhythm guitar. Keith Scott on lead guitar. He played the solo in Bryan Ferry's Slave to Love. Tommy Mandel on keyboards. In the same year, he was the touring keyboardist for John Waite. Dave Taylor on bass guitar. Pat Steward on drums. Jim Vallence on percussion. Suggested next video: Summer of 69. 🇨🇦

Not screaming but Belting. Belting (or vocal belting) is a specific technique of singing by which a singer carries their chest voice above their break or passaggio (passage). Belting is sometimes described as "high chest voice".

In the last decade, Bryan's been invited to join several of the hottest pop-tarts and his appearance is always the highlight of those concerts. Some of those pop-tarts have, later, said his song left the rest of their concert 'flat' and even a greatest-hits (a pop-tart translation: "all 3 of my greatest hits" didn't fill up the next hour. Yeah. No kidding.

I am 51. I grew up in the 70's ans 80-s. Yes...almost all media had good messages and or good vibes. The "grey" factor had not hit. Though we weren't perfect ,we strived to live the ideal. We didn't promote as much negativity. Most movies and especially TV shows had good/happy endings. It gave us a mentality that everything will work out in the end. I hope that helps

Some people apparently think this is about cheating with another woman, but it isn’t…He’s singing about his guitar; about running to his music. It’s much like the Kiss song “Beth” in its message, just a little less obvious, perhaps.
