Just watched the ABC special on the chin ramp. I think I cried a little bit. it was such a great time for skateboarding. I'm glad you were a part of it Tommy. it was one of the most amazing times of my life. I still have a dream about skateboarding once or twice a week. I wish TG would do one with Ron Allen. Natas, Gonz,Dressen,Vallely,Hensley are all bad ass. But I think Ron Allen was just as important to street skating, and feel he gets left out. He was one of my favorites as a kid. He is still ripping at 53 years old too.

Two legends from my youth. There was nothing better than being in that era skating with the boys, all of us with boards of choice... Gonz, Lucero, Roskopp, Guerrero, Salba, Gator, we went through them all. I'm glad i was a part of that. DP even lived down the street from me in Santa Ana, how cool was that?

I've been reading and watching these guys for so long ( search for primitive, band this etc) the more I hear them talk, it all comes rushing back. And in the magazines when they talked about their favorite sk8ters (even though they were pro) was always my favorite part. I would read the interviews over and over again (Tony Alva and his comparison to Muhammad Ali etc) Now, I can sit back and actually watch them. Waaay cool!!
