“It was not BTS saving me from drowning; it was BTS drowning with me until I learned to save myself”. As a 55 year old ARMY I am humbled by the truth of that statement. I’ve lived long enough to recognize truth and integrity when I see it and that’s why I deeply appreciate and admire OT7

@@justmyopinion980 yes, I want them to move on with the loves of their lives and maybe families of their own. They deserve way more than that with everything they did and everything that they gave up for us through the years. I want them to settle down with someone or not but just being happy and content and they can proudly say to themselves; “I did good.”

I got into kpop around 2007 - 2008. Super Junior (in their 2007 song "U" there's a hip thrusting move which was considered provocative but was somehow tolerated and thanks to them your idols can do hip thrusts 😂 they're also the first idol group to debut with foreign member and first to have subunits), SHINee, GG, Shinhwa (the were the pioneers of smoky eye makeup for male idols and "muscles/working out" 😂 before them male idols were lanky like typical teenagers), etc. I remember in early 2010's it was said that SHINee's debut song "Replay" was the most successful debut song of late 2000's, if memory serves. Then there was FT Island's The One (give it a listen it's awesome / their whole discography is awesome) and Wonder Girls' I Don't Care craze. Super Junior's Sorry Sorry was actually the song that started the Hallyu Wave because the song became to addictive. Kpop was so sparkly and very limited people knew about it back then. Come early 2010's and felt like everything was so... repetitive. There was a formula every kpop entertainments were following and the groups that I liked were starting to look and sound similar. Early 2013. I noticed these "logs" were being posted on YT and they were of this pre debut group that were just posting.. anything. I was still a multi-fandom at this point. (young kids now call if "multi stan" )😂 Then they debuted. I was like.. uh.. another Big Bang?? Oh okay, cool. Then I saw "We Are Bulletproof Pt.2". I immediately thought something was different with these rookies. They were dancing, singing, and rapping like their lives depended on it. (turned out it did / idol life) Their next comeback, N.O. spoke to me. I felt like these kids are trying to say something. Coffee, Attack on Bangtan, and Satoori Rap got me hooked. Back then idols were discouraged to speak/sing in "satoori" because it was basically provincial dialects. (now idol companies find that fans actually like it when idols speak in dialects / this is when I knew Yoongi was my bias and Hobi my bias -wrecker / I love them all tho) The the whole of "Skool Luv Affair" UGH! *chef's kiss Cypher pt. 2 actually made me cry because they were just being savages. (this is where you see the rap line's unique and individual flow) KEEP IN MIND : I was still a multi-stan at this point. I also witnessed GOT7's glorious debut 😂 (fun fact: they cringe at their debut mv 😂) As you can probably tell I'm not big into girl groups. 😅 I listen to their songs but I didn't stan anyone them. I like them tho. AOA's "Miniskirt" was my favorite. THEN 2014, "Miss Right" came out. IT WAS SO GOOD! As well as "I Like It" It was also around this time where idols covered kpop songs from yesteryears on TV. (early 2010's) Then Dark & Wild came out. Also an amazing album and THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH TEEN BOYS SINGING ABOUT THEIR WARRING HORMONES 😂 Then 2015, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt.1. I've been keeping track of them, GOT7, Super Junior, etc. at this point. Util "I Need U". I was going through something personal when this song found it's way into my heart. 2015 was also the year RUN! BTS was created. (it was only supposed to be for the promotion of their song "Run" but the fans loved it so much they decided to make it into a show) This was the era I stopped being a multi-stan and focus on BTS. And from that point on I got to experience a lot of things with them. A lot of laughter, sadness, tears. And it just got better and better with each passing year. I'm proud of being a kpop fan, I'm proud of being an A.R.M.Y. (this is how you originally spell it 😅) And that's something I can never be shamed of because BTS got me through some of the most darkest times in my life. I fell in love with their courage to tell their stories and be vulnerable to their fans and talk about societal problems they were expected to face. It was raw and real and VERY rare in kpop. And I never looked back since. They're my ride or die group. Granted I also stan TXT and Enhypen but I told one Engene that if BTS and Enhypen are nominated for the same category, I'll always vote for BTS. It's out of the question. 😂 ARMY say that BTS "Paved the way" and they did. They were able to build a bridge between kpop and the world that not even the Hallyu Wave could do. Some tried to debut in the US but nobody really made a big splash. I say that as someone who got too see every milestone Kpop as a whole went through. I'm not disregarding the other idols but I was able to personally witness and grow with kpop and then BTS. Like way back then idols weren't allowed to dye their hair bright colors because it was visually fcked up on (old) TVs. 😂 People say it could have been anyone. That BTS was just lucky. Maybe, but I don't think so. Because until BTS.. no one was singing about the things that should be talked about and addressed. Even talking about mental health was considered taboo and BTS was able to punch a whole into that stigma. (this was around the time people didn't believe that mental health was a thing and believed that depression was a myth) They were in fact the voice of their generation and THAT is the reason why they're where they are today. Not because of luck, but because they speak of things that ACTUALLY matter. Thank you for coming to my TED talk 😂

Im an 80’s hairband girl. When hairbands moved on, i turned to country music. Now that’s ridiculous. Daughter got me into an irish group. Still listen to them. Havent listen to the radio in 2 yrs at this point. Got into kdramas & listened to ost’s. Found bts. Lets not talk abt the rabbit hole . Lol My life was so different in 2013. Wish i was there with them. But you find them when you are meant to. Over a yr later, im finally venturing out & listening to more kpop groups but bts…sigh. I can never move on from sighing over mr president kim namjoon. And im almost 60. 😆😆😆 yup. Army isnt just 13 yr old girls. 😂

Wow all these parents got into BTS thanks to their children, instead when my parents hear kpop they just can’t take it seriously, make fun of the sounds they make (the Korean words), I’m glad not every Army has to deal with their parents like this. My parents don’t even bother to try and understand what they say, that makes it practically impossible for them to care. The important thing is how we feel though, in whatever form that is, they might mean less to u or more, but as long as they’re important in ur life, that’s all that matters, don’t let anyone get in the way of ur happiness. Luv every army, stay strong💜

They will come at the right moment and the right time…. can take two yrs like me 😉 just be patient. 💜

I went into a very deep depression for a few years and always fight to never sink so low again. Bts has so many amazing songs- butterfly, blue and gray, spring day that just means so much. I’ve been an army since the beginning of time and honestly, these seven angels taught me how to love myself and letting go of what I’ve done in the past. No matter where I am, what I’m doing, they’re always on my mind. Their music heals the open wounds and I actually have a tattoo on my lower left leg. ‘i live so i love’ and whenever I’m in a really bad mental state, I look at that tattoo and smile. Their music heals my soul and makes me feel like I’m not alone in the world. Thank you so much BTS! ♡

When I told my mam About BTS I expected her to raise her eyebrows or even laugh. She’s always been supportive but for some reason I was still nervous. She instantly loved them. We binged watched them together during lockdown. My mother unfortunately has some serious heath conditions but her happiness was boosted. We laughed, we cried and her more than me was angry at how they’d been treated. It shows our parents can learn from us. It shows that extra step a parent can go to relate to their kids. I am so lucky to have her as my mother and my best friend. Xoxo

BTS has truly affected my life. They've helped me to push on, to love and accept myself, and to truly live for what I love. I found them at a time in my life when everything was falling apart and they stayed with me through the pain. When I began wondering what I wanted in life and questioning why I was here, I looked to them and basically said, "Fuck it, I'm going to stop caring what other people think and just go for my dreams while defining what life means to me." I like to say that I fell in love with music, and BTS was a huge part of that. Taylor Swift made me realize my love for music, then BTS made me realize that I want to do work with music, to sing and write and produce art. Before that, I didn't have the courage to reach for my dreams, but BTS inspired me so much that I knew I had to try otherwise I'd have to look back and wonder why I never did what I truly wanted to. BTS gave me support and purpose and I am so grateful. They don't even know me, but they reached me. That's why I want to make music, to give in the way I have been given to.

What was so hilarious about the Budden thing is he had no reasons why he disliked them. Even his two dudes where like it's pop music. It's catchy, why are you mad at pop music and he had nothing. As soon as he said that, I was like OHHHHHH you need some engagement for the show huh. Made him look sad and desperate. The tiny bit of respect I had was gone over that.

In their book Yoongi mentioned something I never expected. Hatred of the color blue. Specifically the blue right before dawn. Oddly specific but id only ever heard that one other place: me. Very specific that horrible blue that washes out the world signaling the end of the night. I hate that color so much. So when I learned that Yoongi was the exact same blew my mind. That means there are more people out there like that I thought. It so specific and weird. Here 12:50 "the menacing blue". I know he had to have written these lyrics. I would say he learned it from me (jk) because I very specifically learned that hatred the year he was born. Crazy. There are things in this world that are incomprehensible.

Despite all the things I've sent through, BTS are still gonna be the most memorable, the most like.. The biggest part of my life. I still get bullied for being an ARMY, but I don't care, I have the whole community, my family, BTS and ARMY beside me. One thing I want to experience is how it actually feels like to be around more ARMY, how it's different, I mean it's definitely gonna feel most probably better than how it is now, but being around family would a 100% more better. You can not like their music, one of my better male friends tried their songs and it just wasn't his taste. Then on the other hand one told me "naturally I dont" when I asked if he likes or listens to bts too, and another one accused bts of plagiarism cause he heard "dynamite" was plagiarised. Didn't even know how dynamite was named, i had to search it up with him to get him to remember it. Didn't know the original song. Didn't know the original singer. Just belived it's plagiarism and when I tried to explain they have plenty of other songs, that mind you he did not know a single one, he refused because he claimed they are unoriginal. And this isn't even counting the stuff I have to go through in my own family just for liking them, but at least I was an anime fan before so I just am used to being looked down upon for stuff I like.

I just watched your reaction to BTS versus attendance award shows. I saw your reaction to the fact that Justin Bieber was winning best social artist four or five years in a row then when BTS won at four years in the wall they deleted it from the awards! I thought it was funny because people in the United States don't even realize that a music label in this country representing and promoting major US artists is owned by HYBE labels corporation! Does that not sound interesting what is HYBE label started insisting their US artist did not attend attendance award shows! For major artists in the USA would not be winning any awards! Artist like Justin Bieber Ariana Grande Demi Lovato J Balvin the Weekend several more including the country western group Lady A formerly known as Lady Antebellum. Yes, these US artists or are part of the same family of music labels as BTS TXT Enhypen SEVENTEEN Lee Hyun Le Serafim New Jeans Bumzu Nana Baekho Minhyun Yehana Fromis 9 Sungyeon Zico Dvwn and some other Korean K pop groups.

Not interested about BP. Peace BTS are from NOBODIES to Legends, they're inspirational, role models, philanthropists, good ambassadors for korean tourism, arts cultures. RM 's speeches leads us to live ,learned from what's on his messages and in their lyrics meaning, healed millions of people around the world. Watch BTS the Rise of Bangtan chapter 1 to 21 chapters including deleted Scenes. BTS grow organically NOT manufactured...they're the most influential people....now NASA will play 3 songs of BTS to the universe/ anniversary of APOLLO. BTS music its lyrics, mv theories resonates in one's life.

It is good that BTS saved them but sometimes some armies take the save me obsession to a whole different level. It is so scary (Save me obsession)remember they are just human beings. They are not God they are not perfect just like you but it’s their talented to help a lot of people to love themselves.

What do you mean by that? Are you talking about the fans with healthy obsession (which I consider as basically just loving the hell out of BTS) or the unhealthy obsession (sasaengs)? Or the ones that harass people online (by being mean in the name of being "army")? In the 1st case: just let people love and get excited about their fave group. In the 2nd case: ignore them or report/block In the 3rd case: tell them they're being mean or report/block them (based on how bad it is)
