I wore a KFC bucket to a Buckethead show at the Culture Room. I took it off my head when he was passing out toys and extended it his way. He tried to toss a toy in, but the hands of the crowd deflected it away. BUT ! He tried again and placed it ALL the WAY this time making sure I got it. It was a Hot Wheelz car which I still have to this day and cherish very much. Buckethead is my hero. I am 35 and started playing when I was 11. To this day, he makes me inspired to pick up my guitar and let my soul flow free. I love you Buckethead. I can’t wait to see him on this tour ! I am eternally grateful.

I met Buckethead and Maximum Bob outside some small club in Sacramento 20 some years ago. I shook Big B's hand and knew better not to give the guy a firm grip and was met with an equally limp shake. He looked me in the eye when I asked if I could have a picture with him and Maximum Bob, but I asked if it would be ok to take 2 pictures...one with the 3 of us looking like old pals and the other being attacked by them. His eyes lit up and he shook his head joyfully. I love you Buckethead

That is a wonderful story, I took to buckethead when I heard feast of freaks for the first time, 14 min version, I was blown away, probably least technical song he has ever done, but it was epic, I was in a band at the time and I bought an octive pedal and my drummer said I sounded just like buckethead and I was like who? I got to meet Buckethead once (people don't believe me but we took a picture together so...) it was at Exit In in Nashville after one of his solo shows. I used to just walk backstage there and meet people that I would have never met and way too long to list... anyways, I just did that about 30 mins. before he went on and bam! there he was, he had some handler dude with him that tried to push me back but he pushed the guy back and motioned me over. we shook hands and I asked if we could take a picture together and he made the dude take our picture. he said some jibberish in a high pitched voice that wasn't even words and shook my hand again and I left to watch the show

I did a meet and greet with Primus at Ozzfest late 90's ? in West Palm Beach Florida. Brain was drumming and BucketHead sat it. When i met Les,Lar and Brain ....there was a dude hanging at the table with them it ended up being BH. W/o the mask and Bucket. He was super cool. I was wearing a Taxi Driver shirt and he was just going on about it. I didn't realize at the time who he was. But talked about the movie for awhile. It was blazing hot and humid. I would have gifted him the shirt had i know. He didn't do pics but he did sign the promo pic of Primus with a hand drawn little BucketHead. Pretty cool. Still have it .and the picture of Les and me

In the late 90’s early 00’s I was friends with guys in a band called Umphrey’s McGee. One January 30th 2004, the bands manager, Vince Iwinski, called me very excited and said “if this gets on the internet I’ll kill you, but I’m on my way to O’Hare to pick up the surprise special guest, it’s Buckethead.” He called me later that afternoon and told me he had the bucket on when he picked him up and took him to practice with the band. He was extremely nervous to be around them and kept thanking them and saying “I can’t believe you guys asked me to sit in tonight.” Every guy in the band was blown away by it. They couldn’t believe he was playing with THEM! Nobody saw him without the bucket the entire time. There was a private late night show at a club a few blocks from the Riviera Theater after the show that same night with only Buckethead on the bill. There may have been 150 people in the bar and he eventually went on stage and hit play on a drum machine. He must have shredded for two hours straight. Everyone invited was either a musician or knew enough to belong there and if wasn’t for him, you could hear a pin drop in that little venue. No cameras were allowed. I stood there about 10 feet from him damn near drooling on myself I was so blown away and slack jawed. I didn’t realize Jake Cinninger was standing right next to me for the first 30 minutes until we simultaneously looked at eachother between songs long enough to say “holy fucking shit!!!” before the next beat came on and the shredding started up again. That was one of the better nights of my life.

I went to Damien Highschool my freshman year and one day as I waited for my ride at the bus stop "Coach Carroll," a big guy known on campus for rolling around in his golf cart, rolled up on a few of us band geeks and off handedly mentioned that his son Brian was the guitarist for Guns and Roses. I called bullshit at the time, only to realize years later that he was absolutely telling the truth.

I'm an old guy of 65 and I heard Buckethead for the first time 2 years ago. Knowing nothing about Buckethead, I was deeply moved by his playing. This seldom happens for me. There are many guitarist masters that I love but have never touched my soul. Buckethead did. Buckethead, I have since learned, is a very good person. In the last 30 years, only a handful of guitarist masters have joined my own extremely exclusive club. Its to those who have touched my soul deeply. I am extremely impressed with Buckethead as a master guitarist. You will most likely never see another post from me stating "I am extremely impressed" by any master guitarist again. THATS HOW IMPRESSED BY BUCKETHEAD I AM!!

I went to a Buckethead Show at The Token Lounge in Westland and there was this youngster that drew this AWESOME depiction of Bucketheadland on a Bucket. Like, seriously cool imagery, colors, and size. Buckethead ended up nabbing it and wore it for a while. I think he traded a toy for it, but IDK if he gave it back to the kid or not. Either way it was a rockin' good time. I've always wanted to have Buckethead sign my copy of Bucketheadland 1, but I'm not sure I'd be able to convey the message.

I enjoy many styles of music from many cultures, there are simply some I like less. It doesn't stop me from being in awe of BH when I saw him years ago (got a kazoo). His skills (and persona) are simply mesmerizing. It's just not something I'd listen in the car. Respecting a skilled musician but not liking the style of music they play is possible. I've seen Phish quite a few times and not a fan of their lyrics, even vocals. Calling someone a newb because they feel that way is childish butthurt.
