Description.... This dangerous tree removal job, took up space in my mind for a while, the tree rigging techniques discussed here are not for the novice arborist starting out, there are other tree cutting videos on this channel for that tree cutting fella. this is NOT a tutorial on how to cut down a hard leaning tree. this is the result of many years of falling timber. logging, and back yard tree removals. rigging trees, pls enjoy, and if so, giver the good ol' thumbs up, and a share or two .. thx

Since this was a year ago, maybe you've learned it by now, but: You definitely don't have to apologize or anything for talking through your process of how to fall trees the right way. That's part of why we watch! Keep doing great work

We need to see more stuff like this on youtube. Great stuff. Unbelievable positivity here. Lovin' it! Im in the same boat as you Jordan. Buckin' does some crazy good stuff and explains everything, never being conceded or self righteous. He always says there are other ways but this works well for me. The humility is amazing. I bring out the note pad every time I watch his vids!

Hey Billy Ray, I've watched many of your videos and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I'm a complete novice, so many times I don't know what you're actually saying or what you mean. I'm pretty sure you're talking Canadian "shop talk." I'll keep listening and see if I can learn your lingo. Meanwhile I love to see your passion for your work and for the trees. Thanks.

exciting to ride along with you on this one, i love your stuff. All aspects. being a tree worker i do like to ponder the technical bits of your videos too. I would have had the ropes as you did(one pulling, one 90degrees to the lay holding the lean) but would have faced it in the direction of the lay. Just wondering if i am missing something. seems to me the ropes are everything here and the cut could've been either way? maybe you had to move the crown first to have an angle? perhaps you were thinking the butt was less likely to sheer from the stump if you got it at least a little more upright? Anyway, great stuff. glad you mentioned this one recently, i think i must have seen most of your vids but let us know some other oldies of jobs we may have missed

Arbutus, a really great firewood. Gotta split it right away tho. As soon as it's on the ground and bucked. Once dried, it's as hard as iron to split. My smart arsed nephew found that out the hard way! Full of pee and vinegar, with a big chip on his shoulder. I told him that splitting that old Arbutus was beyond what he could handle. Off he went. Cock sure with an axe. I still lmao!

Exactly the same as madrone, they call it arbutus on Vancouver Island...there are 8 or 9 species of arbutus, and the madrone is the most common in the Pacific Northwest...
