You inspired me to create a channel and put my debt out there as well and share my journey to pay off debt! You have been doing so well and I can't wait to see your numbers continue to fall!

If you get a chance, go back and listen to the first 5 to 6 minutes of this video then count the times you said "want". You did buy pretty much purposeful wants. You should also listen to find out if you are hearing a sense of entitlement, a sense of " you deserve" certain items or expenditures, etc... This world view is why many people remain or get back into debt. Its time to decide, purposeful or not, how much money you want to pay on wants versus your other financial goals.

Thank you! Not giving up on budgeting and paying down debt. I just had to pivot some with the unexpected expense while trying not to get overwhelmed ♥️

@@MillennialLifeAndFinances I get you ... Dave Ramsey who has been in the game advising, collecting data, and turning what others have experienced into statistics for some 20 years says that getting and staying out of debt is 80% plus attitudinal and behavioral. While I'm not personally a 100% follower, I do agree that between 50% and 95% of a debt free journey and then the building of personal wealth is based in world view, perspective changes. For ourselves, we rely on our smart phone and it began to quickly die beyond denial Fri March 22nd. By Monday (the 25th) when we picked up our unexpected expense, new phone we had managed to keep it charged on the 2 charger-cord combinations that worked, the battery showed a noticeable change in its swelling between Friday and Monday too. It is turned off to prevent a potential lithium battery explosion/ fire.

With $242 spending money for the ext 2 weeks, this gives you only $121 per week; or $17.25 per day.

Wants are not needs. Hope it's a one time break. Because that mentality is gonna keep you in debt.

Thank you! It wasn't a break from budgeting. Just meant no savings in month since I had an unexpected expense.
