For this episode from Driving With Gloves Cor was appraoched by Timothy Stark, who owns a Buick Riviera from 1965. Timothy asked Cor if he would like to make a review of his 56 years old Riviera. In contrast to the European opinion, that American cars are rubbish to drive, Cor found out , that this Riviera is a wonderful car to drive.
So special thanks goes to Timothy Stark for making this review possible and making the wonderful drone shots. Further a big thanks to Jose Manual Feijoo Farina to make Timothy aware of Driving With Gloves.

Beautiful! The Riviera, the '63 Continental and Bullet Bird are my favorite midcentury American cars. So classy.

First generation Riviera is one of GM’s best automotive designs to come out of the Buick division, particularly the 65 ( third and final year of this body style) since it’s the closest to Bill Mitchell’s original design. Happy to say I’m a proud owner of a beautifully restored 1965 Buick Riviera…Riv it up baby ✌🏽

To be honest, I have never been into American cars. But I was amazed how good this Buick was to drive.

A Streetcar named Desire en Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

..had one of these a few years back. To my eyes, along with the 69 Eldorado, it's one of the most beautiful cars if the old days. (might mention the Toronado, yet). The only things that annoyed me were, first, these horrible headlights. I often stopped in the rain at night, stepped out of the car to see wether they where running at all (which they alway did, but couldn't see anything on the road). And second, this three speed automatic could have earned a longer ratio. Or kind of an overdrive .. or simply a four speed transmission..
