There are so many myths out there about building a big chest. Most people are obsessed with trying to find exercises that "build the middle" of the chest to close the gap. At the end of the day genetics will determine the "shape", but you can always improve what you've got by building more SIZE. This workout was designed to target the entire chest during each workout so that not matter what "shape" you are stuck with, you will reach your maximum potential in terms of a 3D CHEST! +ScottHermanFitness Hi! Few stupid questions! All the sets are with the same weigth? If I start bench press with 200 then all bench press sets will be with 200? What happens if you rest more than 2 minutes? You are awesome and I can't wait to try out that training plan. I have trained 1 year with the same program... it's gonna be painful :D

Tried the day2 high volume version today. My chest were very pump immediately just after the first incline bench press superset!! Normally I can do 50lbs in the heaviest set but in this routine 30lbs was enough to destroy my chest! The routine is very tough. Hope it can help me push through the plateau I am encountering. (Have subscribed Scott for two years but this is my first time to comment , sorry for my poor English, I am not a native English speaker.)

Hey Scott - just wanted your opinion on a problem I'm having, I've started doing a full chest circuit in my workouts, with 5 sets of 5 exercises at 10 reps each and 1.5 min rest period in between. Now, the exercises follow: 1. Decline bench press 2. Incline dumbbell press 3. Cable flys 4. Chest press machine 5. Wide grip press ups.the problem I'm having is that I feel all the fatigue and burn solely in my arms, mainly my forearms and some in my shoulders. I rarely feel the burn in my chest. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for the videos Scott. I just started working out 2 weeks ago. Is this workout recommended for someone like me, or should I do basic chest exercises before I start this? Also, I really like your suggestion of doing chest twice a week. Should I combine any other muscle group on those days i.e either triceps or Biceps? Or is it better to do those on separate days? If I work out 5 days a week, how would you recommend I break down my muscle groups by days? Chest - 2 x week Back - 2 x week Shoulders Lower body (legs) Arms Thank you so much for all that you have done and continue to do.

Great video! Can't wait to build that 3D chest and follow this guide for the next six weeks. It's perfect timing since I recently broke my foot and I am in a walking boot so I have been trying to think of ways to improvise my workout routine since most of my exercises have been resorted to me sitting or standing and not putting very much weight on my foot. So this is perfect. Thanks @scotthermanfitness

What if you don't have the adjustable bench to do the pec blast finisher? Only an incline and flat bench? How can iCompensate for the 30 deg angle? Thanks
@RahulKumarYadav7 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott. Great channel. I am fully satisfied with your programs. Short question: Sets to failure = Pec blast finish; in every single set. Therefore, with every single end of set coming close to pec blast finish = more stress = more muscle damage = more growth = more gains. So, don't you support sets to failure (i.e. do the repetitions till your target muscle group cannot sustain any more repetitions) ? Thanks!

I have two questions that I hope you can answer...First, how should I know when I am ready to move up in weight? Second, and I apologize because this isn't related to this video, but do you ever encounter knee pain while squatting? I sometimes experience pain after 3 or 4 sets, and it hurts to the point where I discontinue my squat workout for the day...I know my form isn't the issue, so do you have any idea what could be causing this? Or is it normal?
@omri3209 жыл бұрын
+TheWestDweller For the weights, once you reach max rep count on your set you should raise it (example: If you do a range from 4-6 reps a set once all three sets are finished with 6 reps raise the weight) doesn't matter how heavy it feels raise it and if your next set with the new weight is close to your rep range then your good if not go back down and try again.
