a couple years ago when i was having massive struggles with my mental health, i would lay in bed and watch boulder creek railroad videos to calm myself down... it's oddly reassuring to know that they're still being made, and they're just as interesting as they were when i used to watch them! great work! edit: vidoes to videos (i was distracted when i wrote this comment)

The thing which impressed me about you is your clear understanding of how important texture and shine are to achieving a realistic effect. I feel like a lot of people miss this and their otherwise amazing models and dioramas suffer as a result.

For straight lines I'd say you can get pretty damn close with a sharp knife to the cuts you can get with a laser, though for long cuts the laser is more reliable, but for curves the laser will win every time.

9:42 It's much easier to get this effect if you take off (Un-screw) the small nozzle on the very end of the air brush that protects the tip of the needle. PS: Sorry forgot to say, yet another amazingly realistic model, you are a true Artist :-)

When cutting styrene with a laser cutter if you make a sample cut first and measure the raised edge it creates. Then etch an outline around your cut edges the thickness of the raised edges after your cut it will quickly eliminate that problem.

I don't build these, never plan to build these, and really not sure how I got on to your channel a year or so ago.... But man, even I was asking myself where you were for the longest time! I was thrilled to see you dropped another video and I of course watched it. I know I don't do diorama's but I do 3D print, design in CAD, and all around think all of what you do is useful in a lot of hobbies. So cheers to another great video!
