I had some really nice rosewood nunchucks when I was a teenager. Thank you for the knife fighting skills it's one of the most realistic threats to someone who's a warrior. I am grateful Sifu. My battle is alcoholism I guess at the moment. I'm working on self-hypnosis, please wish me luck. I've gotten in deep but I know I can get out especially with support

When it comes to precision attacks or one of the training techniques I was taught back in the day was the ping pong balls hanging from dental floss or fishing line. Using finger strikes or a wooden knife practice striking The swinging ping pong balls at different heights in orientations. I miss the old school Shaolin style training it would be fun to set up a training facility. I always wanted to be able to catch an arrow in flight

I really like the reactionary sensitivity style drill like we practiced in wing Chun. When it comes to knife work. I studied the anatomy of the body and aim for tendons if I'm trying to spare their life and just disable them. Or aim for arteries if it's time to get serious. There's something about the Bruce Lee concept of the firing off your back foot in a 45° angle with a fencing style jab I guess you'd call it. Basically coming down that center line as fast as possible and going straight for the most vital Target you can hit would that be aiming for the throat or heart or eyes. That slash across the chest that nipple hate I would have raised up to the throat but yeah I get it. First person to get a slash in is going to stun that other person and typically give them odds in their favor I would think especially if they end up with slippery bloody hands or blood in their eyes. I know that's graphic but let's be real. This is your class Sifu I'm not trying to preach or anything. I know you're focusing on defense a lot of times and I have a tendency to think about offense;) tihank you, much respect

You fight a knife different than how you fight a gun. If you are trapped in a small space theirs a good chance with a knife you will get sliced or stabbed. It will be a major risk. However if you have space to move and to block you can avoid it. I have seen people use different styles. Your capabilities will determine the style best for you. I personally pick a finesse style for the knife. Which is pretty much what he is showing. The opponent has more of a strength style that will overpower you. However I didn't see him use his weight like they would against the opponent inot to knife or knives.

I've taken classes from Steve Tarani and Craig Douglas when I was younger. If I see a knife, I run. BTW, remember the "Tueller Drill" by Dennis Tueller.

man, you're great, it's interesting to me and I'm watching, but in this case it's so relative who will react how with these knives

Woah. It's an intelligent thing to do to learn fighting/survival skills, gun or not.

Can't control opponent's wrist hand and knife by holding elbow.

I wish I could communicate with you privately sometimes. I'm not trying to disrespect your channel and I understand for sure what you're talking about when it comes to traditional martial arts because I've seen the videos of these Masters stepping into the ring in live combat and getting their asses handed to them. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they're fighting style counts on the opponent just throwing everything they have into their attack with all their momentum and weight and energy and a skilled fighter is going to say balanced and not put everything he has into an attack unless it was set up by stunning their opponent first. But you got to admit the old school training will make you tough as nails and it's really inspirational I've been seeing clips of this guy I don't know if you've seen him but it's pretty awesome I think. I wouldn't want to fight him, lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHm4mX-mrJ6Jo5Isi=04zdHItcZFQr5EoU There's numerous videos of his training and his old school and I love it:)
